i guess i should say,  um  he was winching up a red 4runner  ,  Marlin almost didnt make it up that ravine/ cliff  and when he got to the top  and took a breath he said, "that stuff was just "

the runner  had 38's  and was locked front and rear  but  just couldnt get enough grip  to come up the hill

HEY THAT'S A HEEP!!!!  What you doing letting that thing lead...    ?  With Marlin being there I  Would think a toy could be found to lead.. IE: little blue truck owned by a local boy.

He is actually from indianapolis. 

this hill was rated a 2 but that was going down,  coming up was a 3 , (out of 4)

The trails were rating 1-5 with 5 being the most difficult.


The Jeep was Bear's friend.  He was a cool guy and since he wasn't a Toyota, he didn't participate in the raffle.

Marlin and "mom" got in around midnight this morning

Marlin drove the whole way, 3267 miles, as "mom" doesn't like pulling trailers. He made it from Moriarty, NM to Fresno, CA in one day straight, almost 1,000 miles, which I thought was pretty cool.

He had a great time and spent most of the time fixing other rigs as usual

Here is the begining of Rock Fink Ravine. Marlin said it was pretty dang steep and loose, and if it wasn't for the 3RZ, he would have never made it. He said, "oh no, with my old 22MAR engine, oh forget it" The truck that he had to winch up was a 4Runner with a 3.0 3VZ-FE with 38s?, which I am sure had enough power, but it maybe had more weight than Marlin's rig. But I don't know... Marlin's truck sure is a heavy one-
