Christine and I had a great time. I regret arriving so late-Friday eve around 11:30 local time.
We met some great friends and all too soon it was time to head home.

I had time to put about 3 miles on my truck thanks to the great leadership of Chris King.

As usual, I had an oppertunity to help out as needed.
Project94's friend that had an '83 with carb problems ended up being a rusted power valve, too low float level, and a plugged accelerator pump nozzle. I also removed the factory plug and adjusted the air fuel mixture.
Sorry about the broken motor mount.

Gas mileage?, I am still wondering how it ran without an accelerator pump. It must of been a BIG improvement.

Glenn, we had a great time in your neck of the woods, just wish I had taken more pics and had more time to wheel and spend with you.

Somehow, We have to find a way to get back there again.
Its only around 1800 plus miles back there one way :driving:

The cheapest gas was in OK city at $2.77/gal.
The highest we saw was in Needles Ca at a Mobil station off the interstate at $3.88/gal. On the otherside of the interstate we also saw an AM/PM at $3.69/gal.  It was 121 degrees at 5:30 pm on the way home.

By the way, we bought fuel 15 miles eariler across the border in AZ at a Pilot truck stop for the bargain price of  $2.85/gal.
