Hey guys,

This is a really old picture, dating back around 2001 that I came across while going through some old CDs. Back then we had a total of 4 workers: Marlin, Aaron, Dave, and myself. IT IS NOT A CHOPED PHOTO. Anyone of us can vouch for its authenticity. Even today we have built Units in stock on shelves so it wouldn't be much of a challenge to reproduce this if we wanted to.

Aaron, Dave, and I had assembled 9- 2.28:1 MC07 Units and 1- 4.70:1 Complete t/case and were getting ready to ship them out.

So Naturally we quickly bolted them together and, along with a new rebuilt G54 from Marlin's bench, we had ourselves the World's First Decuple ("times 10") Transfercase System ever built!

The Transfercase Setup brings in a gear reduction ratio of 7,825.5:1.
The Transmission and Transfercase together bring in a 30,910.7:1.
And with 5.29:1 diff gearing, the Final Crawl Ratio becomes 163,517.5:1.

Idling in 1st gear, you would be moving at 0.00046 MPH, a rate of 1 Mile per every 2,157 Hours (90 days).

It's pretty pimp-dog :bling: but I just think its maybe a bit too low for me. I don't know :headscratch: Whatta ya think?

You know, that transmission with bellhousing is about 110 lbs, each Crawl Box is 40 lbs, and the lone Transfercase is 80 lbs, so that is a combined dry weight of 550 pounds!! HOLY CRAP!! That would be SOME crossmember!

Hey Big Mike, really looks great.
The pic was taken in the corner of the shop that is now full of pallet racks and inventory.

And yes, I was there.

Oh by the way, the final ratio is 163,527.6:1, not 163,517.5:1 as posted. You are 000,010.1 off :smack:

You forgot to carry the 9 and add the 6.

Ahhh young Jedi... My calculations are more reliable than a Swiss busdriver's austrian pacemaker.

It is actually 163,517.5037552609319464337408:1 with all the numbers carried out :gap: You can check me on that, because I wrote them all down in Notepad

If surgens used chainsaws, your calculations is what they'd have.

I am guessing that if you wanted to buy this Ultimate Overkill Ridiculous Outlandish Absurd Ludicrous Asinine Demented Ostentatious Exorbitant Crawler, it would cost $10,000 + shipping not including all the shifters and shipping.

I bet you could keep your truck from rolling down the side of the mountian with the trans in neutral, but on the other hand how fast would the clutch be turning if you down shifted to first gear at 1 mph in Low Low Low Low Low Low Low Low Low Low?

With that much torque going into the rear case, I'm betting the truck wouldn't get very far before you snapped the rear most input, or one close to the back of the train. It's basicly a snapping machine like Bobby long, or ARB use to test the strength of shafts, carriers, etc.

Oh that is so cool. Too bad it would just break everything else in the drivetrain. It'd still be fun to play with!
