Wow...never been first for anything. I find the cabs on the 1st gens to be quite cramped to begin with, this would be a nice alternative to a crawl box for me.

I have an 85 4runner, and last August I purchased your trail flex kit front and rear, and bought the dual case adapter. I would have loved to have bought the gear set, but I was already tapped out with all the other items I bought...

Thank you so much for the chance to win though. :crossed:

I need them so I can be slower!
My budget limited me from getting them before I installed my duals, and with my baby boy due on May 12th, I doubt I will ever be able to buy them.
Thanks for considering me!
And excellent idea on having a give a way here in addition to PBB!

All right I'm going to play the "bone stock truck" and "newbie wheeler" card's for this one.  I am currently trying to save up for your 5" lift kit, but school loan payments keep getting in the way of that.  The next step is gearing.  This give away would be a great start to helping me get my crawl on..   ;)

thanks and good luck to all who enter!

Glad to see you guys doing some promo on this board, since i don't belong to any others..

I am entering to win the gears because I'm sure they come with some big ass Marlin Crawler stickers which I'm sure would get a lot of attention on my rig.  I also let everyone who wants to drive my rig play with it and this would be a small step towards getting sponsored. Thank you for the chance to get some killer gearing options!!!

Not that I NEED them, but it never hurts to put your name in the hat.

I may be going to a bigger diesel in the future and would want to step up to the 23 spline input so I can go with a heavier transmision.

I like the idea of this type of promotion on the board.

Marlin has done so much for this sport and still has so much to offer.

1st pic: Gate Keeper Rest In Peace.
2nd pic: Mammoth  groupies.
3rd pic: one for Marlin and the gang.

Thanks for bringing us all together.

See you at MCR 5

 :beerchug:

EDIT: There are so many others that could benefit from this giveaway that it doesn't seem right for me to take the Chance away from someone else when I don't really need them.

Please withdraw my name from the hat.

Thanks,
Mark

:bananasplit:  This is frickin awesome!  Let's see, I need em cause money's always tight, and when I have the cash I can't decide whether or not to go duals or single 4.7!  I got a smokin deal on a complete sas kit from a boardmember recently so funds are depleted, but this is the 2nd to last item I need to get my project started and get all my marlin parts out of storage and on my truck!  Plus with over 508,000 miles on the stock gears I'm sure they could use to be replaced!  You guys rock!  :yesnod:

I'M IN!!

You just have to look at my truck and what I put it through to realize that it would be in the best interest of my trucks survival and everyone involved that I win this contest. My poor clutch whines and crys everytime I fire up my truck, and my engine groans at the thought of me stabbing at the skinny pedal everytime I get into trouble to make up for the lack of gearing. My transmission starts shaking at the thought of having to endure another trip through Pumpkin Eater without some assistance. My transfer case wants to get off the train, my driveshafts are getting dizzy from the speed at which I have to drive on the big rocks. My axles spit gear oil and teeth since they keep getting punched in the face by the rocks flying off my tires, and those are bald from all the spinning they must do to keep up. My front fenders shudder everytime I aim them at a ledge for they know it will be at ramming speed and if they get in the way and they do, it will be at their peril if they don't lift their skirts. My doors creak in pain as they slide inches from a boulder and bed wishes I'd just make a flatbed and retire it. My head-lights bug out in horror as they are propelled forward toward their doom, and my marker lamps.... well may they rest in pieces.

These are just some of the reasons I could use a set of low gears, but most importantly my blood pressure would return to normal since my Adrenalin would not be pumping from the moment I get up to go wheeling, my heart would beat at a normal speed, and my nerves would not be on edge constantly. I would have bought a set long ago but have allways run into a roadblock along the way that diverted the money for more pressing needs. I would enjoy having them and could back up all that trail talk promoting Marlin's Crawler-gears, since I would do without before caving in and buying an inferior product.

I need 4.7s because I never get to wheel.  Most of the guys around here have heavily modded rigs, and I can't hang with 4.88s, and an engine that idles at 1000 rpm.  4.7s would drop my crawl ratio enough so I could wheel more often and more reliably. It's also my daily driver, so extensive mods aren't an option. And here's the only pic I have of my truck wheeling.

I have 2 stock cases with my Marlin crawler. At the time I purchased mine, I could only swing stock since I was building 2 trucks (mine and my son's) so 2 crawlers and gears and lockers for 2 rigs make it too expensive to go exotic.  Having 4.7s in one case would be diffinately an advantage.

My post says I am a noob and that may be so. But, I got into wheeling about 2 years ago. I bought a 1980 toyota for $700 and slowly have been fixing it up. My latest change was dovetail the rear and half doors I did myself. Aside from my lift that I got at a junkyard and 33's. I am still all stock. My little 20R sure can use some help in gearing. Still running the 4.37 open diffs.  I would like to get out more just no funds like everyone else.  Still feel like the new guy next to rigs that are twice the size of my truck.....that and not really having anything in the drivetrain to keep up. I think the gear set would really help me out. My Truck is my D.D. so all that I do to it is moslty when I get vacation time(three times a year).
On to post some pics
Before

After

Thanks for giving me a chance to win!!!

I NEED the 4.7's for my rig, because stock duals just isn't low enough!  I'm going to bigger tires next time around (probably 39.5's or 40's) and the stockers just won't cut it then!

here is how it started....

here is how it sits now...

and here is the plan...

why i need the 4.7....because a 36:1 final ratio with a manual can be a little...touchy :o .....my plan is to go with dual cases with 4.7 in both, but working part time ( to pay for college) and being in college ( Virginia Tech, Mechanical Engineering) doesnt lend much time or money to do the things that i love.

i have yet to buy a set because the aforementioned monetary problems of working part time and using what little income i have to pay for college, rent, books, etc :(

I am forever grateful for the mere chance to win.  Thanks MC!

Well I think I need the gears because I got the T/C and need the lower gears for the tundra.. It's big HEAVY, and needs to go slow.. Beside I'm going to be the only one in canada with a Marlin Crawler( just think of the new customs I could drum up).  Besides it would really make my little brother PO'ed to watch my "not a real truck" truck pulling stumps, when his "dodge" can bearly pull his camper trailer.  :tantrum:
