I got the carb on today...and it's got power again.  left some nice posi marks in front of NAPA.  I checked out the old carb, looks like the dead spot off idle was the accelerator pump not functioning...and I tested that thing before I put it on.  I might have a dieing fuel pump though, we'll see come tomorrow morning. :crossed:

Shamb

Duffil what year is your truck?

i've got a spare mechanical fuel pump off my 82'.

OK, here is what you all wanted to see.  I made it almost all the way into the springs with only a little drag mark on the rear valance, and the taillight...and then Big Sluice kicked my ass coming out...

You did a really good job getting through all the bad stuff including million dollar hill. That one you walked right up the off camber part we just wouldn't even think of doing.

It was great wheelin with you.  Hopefully it won't be the last time!!!!
IFS is best kept at ambient temperature in a pile of scrap in the backyard.  When kept under a functioning vehicle, it tends to greatly diminish said vehicle's offroad ability.     -reklund5

I'm good either way...I had heavy jumper cables and 6011 to spare, not to mention a hood and gloves.  I was fully prepared to break my junk.
