hey dtb don't think Toyota's were designed to float like that lol.. man that sucks did it do anything to the wiring :crossed:hope not. your truck is looking killer hope mine comes out that good.

nothing right now.....just some new dents and scrapes...

As soon as the C-Runner is done hopefully it will be getting a tight partial exo, winch bumper and tube bed...stay tuned!

Thanks, LLoyd....nope the wiring is all good...no damage was sustained at all (other than to my pride)

So I was talking to Initowinit last night and we came up with a new idea for the truck.....I'm thinking about ditching the partial exo idea and just building a tube bed with a tight interior cage and welding the extra cab windows solid ( I keep breaking them over and over again....what u guys think? I've never seen anyone weld the extra cab windows solid...

I would just replace the glass with sheet metal, that way they won't break, but you'll still be able to open them, oe even better, clear plastic!

yes...thats what I'm thinking....solid sheet metal..it would kinda have that boxy look...I dont think the plastic windows are a good idea...too cheesy looking

Im thinking about just welding them solid so they dont open......a few hits on the trail and the window brackets are fubared anyways

Lexan is your friend in the window department won't shatter and you can bend the hell out of it before it breaks.

Most replace the glass with Lexan, I think you'd be sorry filling it in you will have a huge blind spot.

Question did you happen to check the 4Runner's rear axle for water?

Good point RS..I did think about that blind spot problem....what about some small portal (round) lexan windows like ships have (since my truck likes water so much

) and fill the rest in solid?

YES, I did change the fluid on the runner and it was clean

Round window sounds great, and you could hang a life preserver ring off the grill it will look real cool as it goes under.

That'd be awesome!! Mabye you could find some of those funky shaped plexiglass windows from the conversion vans from the 70's and 80's?
