Got some more work done.....still not finished though....

There will be a couple 1 ½" braces between the main hoop and lower braces. Also there will be a bracket that mounts onto the lower gussets that tie into the side stock bumper mounts. I might eventually run a brace to the body mount bolts (like marlins design) but for now I think it should suffice

I just got 1 thing to say,

:moon: :moon: :moon: :moon:
YOU ONLY NEED TWO TOOLS IN LIFE - WD-40 AND DUCT TAPE. IF IT DOESN'T MOVE
AND SHOULD, USE THE WD-40. IF IT SHOULDN'T MOVE AND DOES, USE THE DUCT TAPE.

IF YOU CAN'T FIX IT WITH A HAMMER, YOU HAVE AN ELECTRICAL PROBLEM.

Nice looking work being done on the front bumper
Does the stinger come higher than the top of the radiator? I like the gussets you put near corners.

the CA and CCA is all pretty much the same... its more color preference and the marine one is waterproof so it doesnt short out? i think.

The stinger comes right up to the top of the hood. You can just see the top of the tube over the hood from the drivers seat...just where I wanted it. That way I can come up to a tree and know which side I am going to be going off it.

I got the ideas for the bumper by combining these 2 bumper designs into something I thought was a little more simple and functional. I used the side bar gussets like marlins has. I didnt like the "squared off" style stinger because if you hit something straight on it could stop you

NO. i will educate yall if it's the last thing I do.
Red tops are starting batteries. that is all they are designed to do. High power, no good for a deep discharge situation.

Yellow tops are sort of a compromise battery. Mainly designed for marine starting and audio applications, they provide good cranking power and a good discharge rate.

Blue tops are a straight up deep cycle battery, designed for use in an RV or in a boat running a trolling motor. low cranking power with a long reserve capacity

So if I were to run a dual battery setup, which two should I use? One red and one yellow? Or one red and one blue? Or what? ( sorry for messing up your thread DTB, but I am highly interested)
