So what you're trying to tell us here is DTB couldn't get it up even though it was already slicked up for him by somebody else and there was no climax.

:smooch: tanks@!

So I finally started building a bumper yesterday...hope to finish it up this afternooon! It doesnt look like much now but its gonna be sweet. I'm using a combination of 1 3/4, 1½ and 1" DOM tubing. The winch plate is a trail gear one because i got lazy but whatever....I've had it sitting around forever.

The springs settled in nice and level now

Nice clean slate to work with

These are the cappers for the ends of the tube

While we are on the subject of trail gear parts check out  the ears on this  trail gear long spline section....see anything wrong here?

You mean where ears from the other part of the shaft hit and gouged the metal on that piece?

Nice bumber by the way.

nope....the ear on the right is almost twice as thick as the one on the left...just plain poor machining....no excuse...typical though

I know I know...I say dont buy them and then I'm using a TG winch plate!

talk about the pot calling the kettle black.....

not all of their products are bad...just most...buyer beware...

bearings, brake lines and tie rod ends being the worst I have seen.....

And dont even get me started on the ethical issues...it could take all day

I bought that plate a while before lots of the issues (with the company) started appearing...the quality is great for the price but I would definitely think twice (or three times) before buying any other products...fact is that there are just better products out there and you truly DO get what you pay for  :twocents:

What really concerns me is that is a critical part there and for what ever reason it was not properly made. Just think of some of the stuff you don't see or can't see with the naked eye.
