OK...tell me what you guys think about this....

I found a good W56 and 2 cases with stock gears.....I can get an adapter and a bud built skid plate..

opinions on this set up??

What will break? What else do I need besides the driveline shortening? Any advice?

Thanks in advance :)

Good to go with driveline shortening (rear) drive shaft extending (front). BudBuilt is a good crossmember, and the W56 is a pretty good tranny. Go for it!

good luck with the dual cases, I just put mine in yesterday- not too bad the hard part is bench pressing the drive train into place with some safety straps!  :burnout:

This is the location where I broke my tranny......This hill is friggin steep....for once the pics actually kinda show how steep it is...also the ground had just un-frozen and snow melted making it treacherous (like a giant slip and slide) Once we started down it there were NO turn offs and no turning back. It took us a few hours to get DOWN the hill...including getting stuck in the ruts a couple times...

look at that front tire.....traction was NOT on our side that day!

Hmmmmmmm...those ruts werent that big last time I came down here  ???

errrrrrbody on the trail gettin' tipsy!  :disturbed: I dont think Toyminator is gonna follow me down anymore trails lol

This was where I broke....The reverse gear didnt think it was a good idea to do a 7000rpm clutch dump (with a new centerforce).... we were able to anchor the front of the slider with a strap to a tree to get the front end in the ruts (Going to the right was not an option) then a strap on the back of the slider to swing the rear end into the ruts.....

That looks like a fun trail to play on. Are there any rocks on this property dtb? I may have to see about joining yall on a local trail run/camping trip sometime. :driving:  :camping:

Your gonna need a bumper if you keep running off the trails like that.
Hug your kids, pray for a soldier, and don't sweat the small stuff.

OK... Ok....  I'll be more specific.  On a normal day I wouldn't think of snapping a twig at Victor's, let alone cutting an entire tree down.  But if worse came to worse.... hey, I'd at least use the tree to BBQ something tasty!  Does that make it any better?   :ack:
