Please keep in mind this is just to get through the roundup.  After the roundup I have much more plans... and trust me, it won't look like this :nonono:

It ain't worth doin' if you don't have to clean up afterwards!

Build it, break it, fix it, repeat until your wallet is empty.

Started on the front shocks tonite :woohoo:

SCORED A CHOP SAW FOR THE WEEKEND :woohoo: :hyper: :woohoo:

Betchya can't guess what this is going to be :disturbed:

And before you ask why I'm not using the perfectly convenient shock hoops that are already mounted, I'll tell you.  When I had the shocks mounted the tires rubbed on the shocks, then after I took the shocks off at Moon Rocks, the when I flexed, the tires came up and knocked the tabs off that the shocks bolt onto.  So, the angle with the hoops goes out too far

Oh, and I dunno when this happened :headscratch: Matt and Sierra pointed it out to me

That be mah knee

Well, I started on the Migo around noon yesterday, and didn't come inside till 10:55pm.  I got my front shocks installed, and all my lights are good to go :woohoo: The next thing is the rear shocks and driveshaft and I should be good to go :woohoo:

You need to get some better pants.  Get some carharts or some loggers rigging pants that have the double knee!  I've saved my self from many possible injuries by wearing more durable clothing.

So I FINALLY got the pics loaded up :hyper:

This is how I started the pass. side.

I welded a piece of angle iron to the bracket that used to house my brake lines.

Then welded the tabs to bolt the shocks to, to the angle iron.  Notched the tabs so they set on the angle well..

And VOILA!!

*FFC*

Now the drivers side was a HECK of a lot easier than the passengers side.  I kinda figured out how I was gonna do it as I did it on the pass side.

The driver's side, I welded the tabs to the angle iron BEFORE welding the angle iron to the bracket  They ended up a lot more even then.  Then welded up the angle to the bracket, and put the shock on.  Took bout an hour for the second one, bout 3 for the first one :disturbed:

Driver's side

Oh yeah, after I finished the front shocks I decided I had time to do the lights

But I got em DONE!!!!

I have 4 leeetle halogens, and the 2 Hellas on the front  They sure do put a draw on the alternator, but I doubt I'll be running all 6 at the same time anyway :disturbed:

I had to use a metal hose clamp, straightened out for the back bracket to mount the rear lights.  It was the safest and most convenient place to mount them, and I didn't have to drill any more holes :yesnod:

Oh yeah, and this is me after being outside for 11 hours wrenchin non stop :haha:

So I did my rear driveshaft last night.  I wasn't sure how to do it but.... I think I figured it out :disturbed: I'll cut it to length and bolt it up this afternoon :crossed: This is the telling point.. if it works the Migo goes tomorrow.  If it doesn't work, the Migo stays home :crossed:

Did the smaller end first:

*FFC*

The bigger end sucked.  I cut the tube off and squared out the end, then finally after 2 hours of squaring it off with the grinder, finally got it to sit right.  Blew a hole in it, then had to fix that up.. I wish I had pics of it before I welded it up

This is how they sit right now.. I got done welding and went to bed
