You are all so right. Thanks for helping me feel better about this. I have been feeling kind of bitter about the whole thing. Not towards anyone, just towards my situation in general. Ya'll are right though. This is a new beginning. I like the gas can idea! I have some change that is in jars here and there but would like to keep better track of it :yesnod:

Tommy, I didn't forget about the transmission. That's one of the big reasons I felt bad for selling - it didn't dawn on me I can use it in another rig!! :hyper: :woohoo:

I'd love to have a runner..... I can't really do ext. cab unless it's the king cab old school one (ok, that would be super cool). But I can't start planning just yet  I got a lot of saving up and re-prioritizing to do.

Here is a picture of the gas can.  My wife made it up for me.

And I will be honest, I watch CL locally here, and in Cali, you have the better deals!!

Well, I may be able to help when it comes to some of the rougher points or even some of the finer points in building you a rig, Justina.  :smooch: We just need to find you a rig and then figure out what it will need. Ya never know what us old guys just may have laying around to offer up for it.  :beerchug:

I have a semi-large glass jar that I put all my change into and a few times per year I'll cash out all pennies, nickles, and dimes and that darn jar will amount to almost $200 when it's completely filled with nothing but quarters and fifty-cent pieces. Amazes me every time.

That gas can is pretty cool and much larger than my glass jar. I bet it'd be close to a grand of nothing but quarters :o

And its harder to get the bills out of it.  Need hemostats to get them out.  So, it doesn't make you tempted to use it.

Yes, Craigslist is great, and the private Facebook classified pages are little gold mines sometimes! I have to get through the first weekend in May (I have a little surprise vacay planned for Katie), then I can start thinking about another project for me and Katie

I do save my change. Probably 99% of it. Katie gets the pennies and nickels, I get the dimes and quarters. That way she's got a little savings, and I got something stashed away for.... lately it's been for emergencies, but when I get it more organized, I'm going to designate it.

Migo sighting... I guess I should prepare myself for these! I'm glad it's not sitting anymore at least. Funny, I started really wheelin' the Migo for the first time at HOLLISTER! That's where it was sighted first after I sold it

Thank you for posting this info Justina. I'll be at Hollister this weekend, and had I not been on this thread in a while, I would have totally flipped out and reported your truck stolen :ack:

If it's there for the event, http://www.mta4x4.com/Frolic.php, then I'll report back with some :snapshot:

It's in the past, you will always have the memories, and I agree a 4Runner is a good choice for replacement since it has sleeping space. Not that you can't set up a truck for that purpose too.

This is why I have a love/hate relationship with a canopy.  They are great when you want a truck, and then when you want something more.  But it can be a pain transitioning between the two when needed.

    • My build thread
If you did decide to stick with an Isuzu and build something nobody else has... You could build a sick vehicross. Using of course very little of the original drivetrain. Just think of all the possibilities available to you now. It is an opportunity to build differently anything that you had wished you had done deferently.

Good lookin' out, Mike!

I don't think I'll stick with Isuzu. I just built it because I loved the Amigo.... but I wouldn't do another Amigo. Katie's not going anywhere. In all honesty, I would love to do a full size. I simply love those older trucks. But that means more weight, and more to break.

Jim, I didn't sell to a friend. I couldn't do that. Some guy off Craigslist, who I guess turned around and sold it to some chick (that's the story from a mutual friend).

Hey Justina,

I've got a 92 single cab v6 with a hydrolocked motor. I'm pulling the trans, rear axle and steering box. You can have the rest if you'd like. I know it's not what you are looking for and probably be a pain to get it down the hill but it's yours if you want it.  :smooch:

Wow. I'm so touched! :hyper: Thank you! It will fit me and Katie and that's what matters. I will check with my mom (trailer/truck/storage). I can't keep it where I live as I rent but mom might. She's pretty upset that I sold the migo and would love to see me off to a start with a new plan.

By when do you need it gone?

Thanks for the heads up Cheesy!! :smooch:
