Gonzo PM'd me with this info, thought it would be good to post it here:

"Ned found a couple of dogs on the Rubicon here is his phone number in case some there is missing them.  Ned put this on the "shout box".

Ned - Found 2 dogs on McKinney Rubicon Trail Please call (530) 448-6494"

Sorry.  Don't have any pictures.  But I do want to say a big "Thank You" to Marlin, Chris and the gang for putting this on.  We really enjoyed ourselves.  Great trails, great food and good times.

I can't wait to hear about it either! I can't believe she got it in there, but she had gravity on her side on the way in. That cadillac hill is something else :psss: I ended up walking it. I'm a wuss!!

And speaking of FFC, here are some pics.

On Sat. Geno's wife and I were given the task of letting people know where the registration table was and that t-shirts were for sale, so we made a couple signs and sat out by the main road watching people go by.
And who should wander by but FFC, Blackdog and Spotter.

She came back by our campsite a little later just in time for Trackvino to show up. That would be MrW, Geno, FFC and TrackVino in the bottom picure

I got a bunch of pictures but I need to downsize them.  I don't think they are the best but they will work. Oh and did that red runner make it up that ledge.  I made it up that a couple weeks ago. very fun

To bad I didn't get to meet up with all of you, we wheeled to the creek crossing and headed left to a camp spot late Friday night around 1 am, next morning we hit Little Sluice and stayed there the majority of the day just watching people tear it up. Caught a guy in a white Runner bust a tie rod, blow a tire and twist a rear driveline in half in the first 10 feet of little sluice.. haha..

We got some great shots and REALLY GOOD video footage!  Waiting for Toynorcal to post up the pic's so when he does i'll post a link for sure.

Carnage for the weekend:

Friday night i busted all but 1 bolt that connects my front driveline to my t-case (hey guys whats that CLANKING noise?!  uhhhh)  haha...
Saturday got light rock rash but nothing to serious.

TODAY was the fun part, both of my buddies blew brake lines, one was over heating real bad. Heading out of Cadillac hill I got bored and flopped my truck on its side, crushed the fender, crunched the passanger door and bed a little. Cant roll up the window, cant close the hood.. and I cracked the window pretty good.

Shortly after I rolled I saw Hyena hiking out for some parts for TEXX, passed Inferal cruising on the top of some buggy and saw a few familiar rigs from the site but didn't say much. Yesterday we helped a really old man in a Jeep get his rig going again, he was all alone with nothing and busted 2 tie rod ends. We were gonna sleeve it with a hi-lift handle but ended up running across some really nice guys that gave him a trail spare draglink and tie rods, bolted right up and the old guy was very thankful. Made us all feel good that would could help out and he appriciated it.

All in all it was a fawkin AWESOME trip!  we had a freakin blast and can't wait to hit it up agian next year, hopefully I can get Friday off so we can wheel into the Springs.. only reason we stopped at little sluice was because the 2nd Gen Runner with us was low on gas and wouldn't have been able to make it in and out with what he had.

*Also on a side note Chris caught up with us in the buggy on the Granite slabs... good times!!

Angelo's wife Candy did a good job at the soup bowl,  didn't have neer the trouble getting up it as the buggie before them. Somewhere after Big Sluice at the drop off on the slab they came really really close to floping, but Angelo ran up and jumped on the rear bumper and saved it. I think all the yelling NO  :yikes:  had somthing to do with saving it to, but won't sware to it. :smack:

:rivers: I wanted to give it a try, but by that time I had a driver side motor mount that decided it wanted to wuss out.  I think a longer wheel base is better here anyway cause the steps at the granite bowl gave me a little trouble and had to take them at an angle to keep the front and rear tires from hitting at the same time. :smack:

I am really glad we decided to make a square driveshaft cause no sooner then we got to the granite bowl we found a shear dropoff and landed hard on the front shaft and had no damage. Then Angelo and Candy followed the same line and bent up their front shaft. It looked like a banana, but held up the rest of the weekend.

Well, I didn't take any pics either. I didn't have enough extra room in my rig for a tooth pick, let alone a camera. With all the sound system equipment and camping gear and booze for 4 people and 2 dogs (dogs drink a lot) we still had to put stuff in another rig and on the quad.
Anyway, it was great to meet so many of you from the board.  The Mammoths (great people), FFC (watch out for this gal), TrackVino, Geno, Lillbuddy the 16 year old wonder kid that drove up by himself and didn't break til he went back out to play on big sluece, Infernal, who walked most of the way in and hitch hiked the rest, Kyota (had a nice time campin with ya) and everyone else, some of which I even remember in my mildly Captain Morgan induced fog.
I had FFC requesting country music, then Mr and Mrs WM with some crazy ass chain saw music and some of the Marlin crew requesting hip hop, I though they were going to wrestle to see what music was gonna get played next.
One of the owner of Rubicon Springs (Steve Morris) gave us an amazing history of how the springs came to be. This guy has been coming into the springs back when the 3 story hotel still stood. WOW!
And I was amazed at all the very focused expressions in the croud while Marlin gave us a "brief" history of how Marlin Crawler got started through where it is today. THANKS MARLIN (he loves those "short" little talks)
It was great seeing BigMike and Rocky and Dean and Chris......all the Marlin Crawler crew and the best part (for me) is they didn't have to do any work on my rig this trip.
THANK YOU MARLIN, thank you to everyone who participated and helped out!!!!!! What a great time!

Keep the pics comin (i love looking at myself)
