tons and tons.. I just have been on hollidays down in south dakota for the cruiser classic...(of which I didnt get my truck ready in time for :sad2:)

in the last while I have:

-finished my duel ultimate
-installed it in the truck and built an awsome crossmember/skidplate and managed to be half an inch from flatbellying the truck.. :)
-got the fuel tank mostly mounted and started to run fuel and return lines
-I cut and turned the front axle and finished that...recieved longs just a while ago so i can finish that...
-built a front driveshaft and started the rear.
-cut out my entire floor pan and cut my rockers flat so I can completely redesign the floor pan around my duel ultimate and extended cab...
-got all the wiring completely figured out and now I just have to connect stuff...
-got a complete 3rd gen center console with rear heater included to install in truck..
-picked up a new windshield/ rubber, door glass, extra set of doors to build half doors

i do have pics of all of this but I just dont have a couple of hours to sort through right now and post them... i will shortly though...I appreciate the interest in the truck!!!
the never ending build...

your truck is sounding awesome.  I can't wait to see the finished product.  I love seeing a build that is a little "out of the box".  Your fab skills are amazing.

I was reading through the forum and stumbled across a thread or an article somewhere saying that when getting your case built at marlin you can have the case modded to have a shift light come on in the high/low case.... after some playing around, this is what I came up with...I basically cut the other shift fork in half or so and instead of just welding the piece of keystock to the high/low fork I ended up welding part of the other shift fork on the existing shift fork...I am not sure if this is how marlin does it, and I am not sure if it is really even needed or not but i figured what the heck.. sinse I am in here anyways.. so now I have a light that comes on in my dash when i am in low gear in the first tcase..

I was doing some shopping and sinse I needed an ebrake I figured I should order on.... to bad marlin doesnt sell these brakes... they sure work great!!

I had to build a custom skid plate sinse I was trying to go flatbelly and came up with something like this.... I had the drivetrain already installed and was getting tired of taking stuff in and out so I built and tacked together this piece by piece and then pulled the crossmember out and did the final welding out of the truck....I have 60 series landcruiser bushings in the ends of the crossmember and then welded tabs up under the frame for bolts to go through...
when you order the v6 adapter you can see 2 different sets of holes in it... one set for a non-clocked position and one for a clocked position.... so I punched out the frost plugs and siliconed up holes and installed new ones in the other set of holes that would allow me to clock this thing 10 degrees... this is what made the flat belliying more or less possible...

the last pic for tonight is my new drivetrain peaking through my cut up floor.... this is just the beginnning of what i have really done...right now the entire floor is cut out and I am building a completely new floor and tranny tunnel to custom surround my tranny and t-case.

thats all for now although I have many more updated pics... I will add more as the week goes by...

well, I was at my shop last night and bent up a bunch of steel for my truck... I also used the press to bend up a "horseshoe" to put in one of my cross members to allow the driveshaft to go through..
I then came home fired up the heaters and worked in the garage till 2:30am.... after a really crazy busy summer and a busy holliday season this winter I finally have time to get at the truck again... this web wheeling thing is driving me crazy!!!..  the plan is to finish the rockers that I have started, build a floor and hopefully get a cab finished within the next few months... I have a new goal of trying to get this done for may(ish).. I would love to plan a trip down to Utah to do some wheeling with some of ya!!!
only two pics...

Nice work, what do you plan to replce the origonal floor with? Are you gonna bend your own tranny tunnel?

I have got a mix of 14 gauge and some lighter steel checkerplate that I will be using for the complete floor pan... I will be building a skeleton structure out of 1x1 steel tubing outlining my floor and tranny tunnel and then will sheet it in with the checkerplate... I was gonna just patch what was there but I hate doing things twice and I plan on keeping this truck for quite a while so if I cut all the rust out and start over there should never be a problem....

I am also designing the interior around a 90 runner being that I have a the factory center consol, rear heater and armrest combo and other interior "bits" that will be incorperated into what a I building to give perhaps more of a stock look...  I also have some nice aftermarket seats with 5 point harnesses that I will be using as well...

tonight I got a lot more steel cut and some stuff tacked up..... there was nothing worth taking pics over though....I will have some build pics later this week with hopefully my rockers done and a start on the floor...

I have thought long and hard on how to make a 3rd door option or just as you say... a place to have some sort of side storage...

I am still working on it quite hard and will have pics hopefully soon.... dumb me, I dropped my camera about 2 weeks ago and i cant seem to get the pics off my camera now.. I have to go get a card reader or something cuz the usb port doesnt seem to be working... :smack:

I am still working on the floor as well.... i have been busy again with work so I havent had time to be in the garage as much but I still do plan on trying to get the cab more or less together in the next 2 weeks or so...
I moved my factory cross member ahead almost 10 inches and built my horseshoe into it as well...
I also cleaned up the rest of the frame and started to paint it as well......

it sure feels good to be more or less done cutting stuff apart and out of the truck and now really just fab and assemble stuff...

I got most of the floor pan all figured out now... I ran out of steel so I couldnt finish the back part of the floor pan so i will get more this week.... I also cut some of my floor pan sheets as well so as soon as the floor is done I can lay in the sheeting...

I had to see what it would look like with some interior mocked up into place... enjoy!!

So, you're gonna use Mr2 seats, rear jump seats and a newer 4runner center console.  I like the way this is looking....  You know, if you really do plan on using those Mr2 seats, you might have a problem sliding them forward enough to let someone climb in the backseat, unless you plan on making doors for the rear.  Just my  :twocents:  I really hope everything works out.  I love seeing the progress on this build.

I am trying to build a "track on track" system to address this right now.. I have also looked at having a way for the seat to pivot forward on the front of the seat tracks as well.... we will see..
the jump seats are out of my blue cruiser when it was still a fj40 beore I turned it into a 45.. I had to have a little bit of cruiser in it!!!!  I appreciate the comments from everyone!!!
