Need clutch help
« on: Nov 20, 2010, 05:06:20 PM »
I have a 20r with a w56 trans and the clutch is wasted. So the question is what year of a truck do I tell the parts guy for the clutch I need?  May sound like a dumb question but I'm still learning. Any input would be great. Thanks

the clutch itself is the same with 20R or 22R  but if you need a throwout bearing you need to tell them the what the w56 came from.  most likely a 85 truck or runner with efi

First of all don't go to the parts house for a clutch.  GO here!!

The best clutch out there.   And make sure that you get the flywheel machined with a 0.026" step in the face.  Glen and I have them, and the best clutch out there.
