Spring needed from clutch slave cyl to clutch arm??
« on: Sep 18, 2009, 07:00:59 PM »
I was messing with the 4runner tonight and noticed the clutch release arm on the bell housing has a extended tip w/small hole, like it was meant for a spring that would run from the clutch arm to the extended bleeder valve on the clutch slave cyl?? Mine currently does not have a spring in this location and wanted to check and see if there is supposed to be one? I did not notice anything in the FSM. Thanks in advance!!

Oops, forgot to add this is for a 85 4runner

its a fairly light spring, a little stronger than a carb return spring but lighter than a brake spring

My 86 never had one....................

The slave should be self adjusting, so you really don't need it.
