BigMike sets the rules of the forum. If anyone has an issues with how or why he has certain rules set up I suggest you take it up with him.

Gee you'd think that the reason would be obvious, I have no reason or purpose to bad mouth Allpro, Inchworm, Trail Gear or any aftermarket supplier, but MC would have a very valid reason to not allow anyone from TG to participate on the board. THEY TRIED TO SCREW MARLIN!!! I personally prefer MC and that's my choice.

you obviously missed the part where when locktup comes on here he NEVER talks about TG, (like a handfull of others do on a regular basis with no problems) he even goes as far as when he posts pics of his Runner here he uses 'paint' to cover any TG stickers, oh and that he is a personal friend of Marlin and family. You shouldnt judge a person you dont know by a sticker they run on their truck, you may be wrong about them  ;)

Personally I have no issue with anyone, I was one of the few that wished Chris luck on his choice and would have no problem with anyone that works for TG, but as to purchasing product I do seriously look at the rep. of the history of a company and my future dealings with them. I know Marlin's products and the fact that they stand behind what they make. TG may be the same but I don't care to find out the hard way and regret it later. I think the banning occured only due to his new email address and has nothing to do with who he works for.

That is the case, it is the way BigMike has a filter set up.

I don't think the presence of a filter should be seen as an altogether bad thing.

I've helped moderate a few forums, and when 99% of your spam has the word 'Viagra' or 'Cialis' in it, and one message in a thousand, from one of your legitimate posters has a "naughty" word like that in it, it gets filtered.  Not necessarily killed, but filtered.  Rather than having to hit [delete] on thousands of posts, you simply scan the filter folder and make sure the few posts from known posters that do get filtered are then moved back into the general forum.

Now, if BigMike had such a filter..and I can't blame him for having one...as many threads that have 'TG' in them will likely require some monitoring and moderating!!...and someone good gets caught in the filter, and BigMike just didn't notice it...can't we all see that it was an innocuous error?!

But conspiracy theories are more fun!!
