Which is stronger Allpro birfield or Marlin birfield????  and the axle too.   I notice Allpro is the least inexpensive.  Thanks

profields are the crappiest thing out there trust me I  broke 2 in less than 24 hours.  My stockers where stronger than the profields.  Save up a couple hundred more and just do it the right way and go 30 spline longs if not buy the marlin ones.  i haven't heard to many problems with those

How about the birfield eliminator kit is that better then the 30.  I want something strong.  I really dont want to change the whole front axle.  The back I have a dana 60 but the front is the stock toy with 4.88 and lockrite.  So I want to upgrade the axles only.    thanks

As of now the 30 splines are the absolute strongest joint you can run in a toyota axle...bar none.
IFS is best kept at ambient temperature in a pile of scrap in the backyard.  When kept under a functioning vehicle, it tends to greatly diminish said vehicle's offroad ability.     -reklund5

I know this is kind of off the side, but has anybody ever considered titanium?  Yea, it would be helaciously expensive, but titanium has a greater memory than steal.  Ever seen those glasses that you can turn 180 degrees, let go and they snap back into shape?  Their titianium.  Not that it can't or won't dent or break, but I'm just curious if it would offer enough advantage to justify the cost.  Then again, whatever weak point you eliminate just exposes the next weekest link, so the only way to build an indestructable axle would be to start from scratch with the best materials and a deep pocket book!

I'm sure Bobbly Longfield has looked into it but the newest Longfields are no longer the weakest link in the axle. Your R&P will go before the Inner or Birf's now so Titanium probably wouldn't do any good. Just cost more....

Although it would be interesting to see someone do it.

If you've got the cash, just go D60. After 5-6 years of breaking Toyota running gear left and right i've finally stepped up to a D60 and i'm really anxious to see how it holds up to the abuse.

You'll save yourself money in the long run.
