« on: Sep 25, 2009, 06:48:31 PM »
What are the chances of breaking a birfield without a front locker and 35" tires? No dual cases.   :dunno:

it depends on the terrain and your driving style but if you light footed and a rated 2 trail it sould be fine

I had to beat on my truck really hard for about a year with 35's open in the front till I finally broke one dropping the clutch in reverse trying to get unstuck.

Just run them until you break one.  Thats when you will know its time to upgrade.

I have 35"s, locked in the front, 5.29's and a 3.4L..  Still on the original birfs.  I don't drive it hard offroad though.

Just depends how you drive.  Ive seen people wheel with 40's, stock birfs and no locker and they were fine..  Ive also seen people break on 33's...
