i have never done this but i believe you can just take a piece of round tubing thats a little bigger than the inner axle shaft and slide it down the shaft and slam it on the birfield and it will come off

Used 1 1/2 inch pipe and slipe the axle in the tube so the birf is pointing up and put a rag at the bottom. "I was lazy and used a CherryBomb glass pack muffler todo this, hey it worked." If the pipe is long enough slam it on the ground if not hold it up and jerk it up and down and it will split. easy. just make sure you ahve something or someone to catch the axle :-p enjoy.

The fsm says to put it in a vise and bend the joint. using a brass drift on the birf hit at and split it.
If you see it, its for sale.

I have used the tube that is in the rear of the frame to separate the axle from the Birf.

The main thing is that you want to be hitting agaist the inner race and not the cage or steel balls.

The fsm says to put it in a vise and bend the joint. using a brass drift on the birf hit at and split it.
This is the best way to do it, but a brass dirft cost some $$$. I usually use a large steel punch.
