There are 3 wires going from the coil igniter box and runs over the engine and into the engine harness. If any of these wire are damaged it can cause this. cut the sleeve off and inspect all three wires. One of these wires tells the ecu that the engine is getting spark. If the ecu doesn't get this signal it will not fire the injectors. I had this same problem with my 22re and it was one of those 3 wires, it was almost broken in 2. If that's not it then check the wires coming from the afm. If that's a dead end then it might not be fire related. When I replaced my 22re with a built 22rte I changed out the entire harness. I then had the same problem. It wasn't one of those 3 wires. I beat my head against the wall trying to figure it out. for the details check out my newbie thread.
