The first 3 seconds of running are all off of the cold start injector. What do the spark plugs look like? are they dry or wet? is there any chance of water in the fuel? if you can get your hands on a noid light (it plugs in between the injector and the harness and has an led in it that lights if the injector is getting pulse) and test number one injector it will tell you a lot. Can you tell me more about the fire? was the engine running? because the wiring you had to repair is most likely the alternator wiring. if that wiring burned up with the engine running you take a chance on damaging the ECM.
