Never heard of impounding a vehicle for 30 days for unsafe vehicle condition, no drivers license and D.U.I. are the only ones I know of. Yes they could mess with you once you get a release and re-impound your vehicle for the same unsafe condition 10 min. after you get it out, you're not supposed to drive it that way until you get it fixed. I also don't see it getting impounded for not having doors, being to high or not having mud flaps, there is no VC for those. Now if you are a habitual offender for the same offenses then sure you can have it taken.
