I couldn't find the cayenne but I had red pepper flakes. I used less then a 1/2 TBS of that. I threw it all in my little Black & Decker electric chopper. I used olive oil instead of vegetable oil, I love the flavor olive oil adds and gave it a taste. It was kicky but not too hot.
lol...I have one of those little Black and Decker choppers, it's cool..really convenient. I also used olive oil. I will have to try the red pepper flakes. The Cayenne pepper I used was "designated" 40 heat

not sure what that means. I buy my spices in "bulk" and vacuum pack them in canning jars with my food saver...they last forever. I get the spices from The Sausage Maker catalog. I think they're on line now too. You can save some big $$ buying from them and they have good spices too.
