California 3.4 swap - smog ref - exhaust poll
« on: Jan 23, 2015, 05:37:11 PM »
For those of you in California that have done a 3.4 swap and took it to a smog ref, did it pass with exhaust run down the drivers side of the vehicle?  If so where was the location of the smog ref you visited? Anyone visit a ref in So Cal?

Well, I can't help you with regards to a 3.4 swap. However, the ref at Bakersfield college did not give me any grief about the cat and exhaust on my 4.3 being ran down the driver side of my Toyota.
all i want is a little more than i'll ever get!!

I am trying to Ref my 3.4 swap, I am having issues with my hydrocarbons being to high but the 2 times I went in (same place/guy) he said nothing about the exhaust routing.

Oh and I am in Nor-cal.

The timing on the 3.4 is controlled by the computer.
