well decided to pull the airsoft bb's out of the tires, they didnt really help with the death wobble at all.feels like they made it worse, was told they work better with bias not radials.. its getting old so im gonna just try using the centramatic balancers ive had just by themselves.
used a shop vac to suck them outa the tire without having to dismount them off the rim.

oh and for those who dont know how to break the bead of tire with a high lift yet, heres an image to go off of.

so easy to reseat the bead with soapy water and this awesome compressor.

anyone need a crap load of bb's?

will find out tomorrow if this changed anything. hope it does and i can drive to the round up death wobble free.

Anyway you can take your wheels to a tire stop and have them do a static balance with tape weight inside the barrel? It'd be the best balance for your tires. Also steels wheels often have a hard time to balance, switching to alloys will help. Keep it up!

yea daniresch, the last tire shop i took them too said they were imbalance-able. lol way too much weight just for one and did the best they can but they still almost shook me outa the truck.

i pulled the weights off and drove it around with no weights, went to bb's, 10oz per tire, it helped but still sucked above 55mph. ordered some centramatic balancers a while back. ran them with the bb's, still sucks. so now im just gonna try the balancers alone.

yea these wheels are garbage. i will get alloys soon to save on weight as well.

yea stew i will do assist soon, my triceps be hurting after every wheeling trip.lol

im eventually gonna sell these tires and save up for new mtrs and 17s. figure thats my best bet since it sees alot of hwy time

well some of you know i got another wheeler, i traded the 94' flat bed crawler for this 87 1 ton runner, it was 91-ex cabs old runner. here is the build thread. http://board.marlincrawler.com/index.php?topic=95029.0

its a solid rig that just needs some love and a little more work to be finished, now i can save the 85 from future bashing as ive been doing alot of that to it lately. it will soon be turned into more of street friendly rig as its my dd still and commuter.

well finally after getting the newly acquired 87 runner all legal and smogged, which was a headache to say the least, i got some more real progress done to it. cleaned up the interior, got some racing seats in it and fixed some other crap, found a new top, and today i did wheel bearings as the ones in it were shot, got a killer deal on them from offroad designs.

next on the list is some new 40s.
new 1 ton master cylinder.
shocks for the rear and a hoop for them.
rock sliders.
front/rear bumpers.
hydro assist?maybe
get a cv put on the rear driveline.
6x9s in the doors and install my old amp and sub.
light bar of some sort reccessd into the grill.
1 ruffstuff king pin eliminator.
fresh rattle can paint job.
rock lights.
finish cutting and rolling fenders.
fix the bent tie rod, already have the tubing for it.
make a temp back window, this one was stripped, i might get a camper shell back window for it or just make one outa clear vinyl.
top off all fluids
