found an old pic of the truck back when it was sky high on 35s couple years ago and was still pretty clean and had the chrome sr5 trim still. thought id put it here so i dont misplace it.haha

well got some stuff done to the new truck recently,

sr5 cluster swap
bed lined floor board
re-wire amp and sub
rattle can paint job...which came out pretty good i think, was supposed to be darker but whatever. better then the baby blue

still need to lower it and put my 30$ sliders on.

got some pics, not alot, really bad ones in fact, wish i got more of the scenery but i wasnt taking the pics and no camera,just a half dead cell... these are all before i laid it on its side coming out on committee.

lost 1st gear in the beginning still wanted to go through and walked it up winch hill 1 on the 1st try, which nobody got a vid or pic of since it was getting dark.

will post of the vids i have later.files to large right now

flop was very soft, half door took the brunt of it like always. and the 2x4s in the door cushioned it haha

thanks joe, yea it was deep. the other toyotas smashed through it, jeep and another got stuck. i somehow was able to just drive through it in 4hi in 2nd gear. the Trxus hooked up so good in mud, rocks and everything. i just wish they had good street manners and no death wobble.

I would like to see how you put 2x4's in your half doors. I am thinking about putting some steel reinforcement in mine. sort of like a tube door inside a half door.

finally got something done,

the sliders are on the 94 pickup,
frame plates and gussets i made , my buddy did the hard work...the welding lol. i did some but i suck butt at it.

this truck is still to high on 37s imo, might do RUF and swap the rears to f150s and sell the allpro springs.
idk yet, want it super low like the runner but then again i want clearance because i like to overpack on wheeling trips.

it's not that tall, about as tall as mine iirc by eyeballing it in person lol.  but for a truggy, it could be lowered.  what's the frame height mike? 25.5" ish?  You could easily chop those front fenders and bring it down a lot.

I was at 26 3/4" with the tires aird down to 10psi on 36" iroks if you are even remotely close then i would just leave it..   Mine wheeled pretty darn good i think for what it was, and yours should be better because it is way less top heavy (i would assume)

 maybe cuz im short and have a hard time getting in it is why i think its too tall.

its right at 25 i think. the runner is at 23.5-24 ish.

but it has a 2inch BL which i think contributes to height
stupid ifs frames i cant go too much lower, im gonna ditch the 6.5" shackles and do 5"

cant, idiot who put the cage in welded the plates to the floor board and the bolts are stupid long, they have like 30 washers on them so the thread didnt bottom out.

plus im lazy and really didnt want to try and cut the cage out, i would mess up and put holes in the floor.lol

and now the sliders are on, im gonna try 5" shackles

heres the ride height on 37" mtrs. 25.5" frame to ground

pulled 2 leaves up front and 3 out back. they still have alot of arch to them still.

i would like it maybe and inch or two lower, swap the warn hubs to aisin and put some armor/gussets on the axles.

have 2 damn crawlers in my life lol.

did some small wheeling today, beat on the truck pretty good,wanted to see if it would hold up.did good besides the top of the steering box springing a huge leak on an obstacle and almost draining the pump dry. turns out it was the center nut on top was loose and somehow almost came off.
bent a front spring backwards, needs bump stomps bad. but wanted to see how it would do for its first run, im impressed.
ran a small rock section of the Ultra 4 race course at Prairie city, pretty cool.

got around to finishing my half doors today, same design as the ones on my runner, all i need to finish them is get some material to cover the tops. probably some woodland camo canvas or something.

later on im gonna cut the middle of the panels out and use the inside of the door for a storage compartment.

ghetto rigged the handle for now, want to do a better design but i broke the stock handles taking them off.

removing the body 2" lift this weekend

The only carnage from fordyce last weekend. sheared the passenger hub studs on the 4runner and had to limp it out committee. no WH3 this time.

bad news is now i gota replace the wheel hub itself since some of the holes got slotted.

atleast its an ifs hub not a SA.
