Ever checked your oil temp?  Turbos obviously heat up oil if you are on the boost for long periods.  Id consider a small oil cooler at some point.

Yeah, I think about that all of the time... been looking at LC engineerings stuff.. seems cheap for the price you pay.. Im not trying to relocate my filter or anything special... Also, dont wanna go with a ph8a type filter...

Might not be necessary for 5lbs of boost and daily driving.  But If you do KOH or long trips with a load then Id figure its a good idea.  All my diesels with big turbos have them.  Even Some heavy equipment I run has them.

Waiting for a call back from 22re performance about building a motor.. yeah I was talkin with crunchy taco about the oil coolers a while back. I need one. That turbo gets soo hott anyway it's crazy.

Yes you need to run an oil cooler, the Audi came factory with one.

Just flushed the trans. Gonna go back to store and get another gallon of G oil and fill it up and call it a day. I'm over it. If it breaks it breaks.. hopefully it breaks on the freeway and not in the middle of nowhere. Motha trucka chit

I mean.. i didnt even beat on it... pretty sure that piece of debris was hiding in there when it was sold to me. Not saying he knew about it. Really freaking lame though... trans felt/feels fine. .. shifts great, no noises... hoping I had a freak accident and the debris fell in through the shifter hole. This metal appears to be pretty soft. Hoping it's all good and the metal flakes are from the gears taking bits off of the metal chunk and not the other way around. Starting to get kinda frustrated. ..

that sucks really bad  man, i say, if it works fine,shifts fine i would run it til the that damn thing blows up, but a r151f is a solid tranny and im sure itll hold up.

Had an idea to use the atf cooler on my new radiator for an oil cooler :dunno:  that'd be kinda cool.

I use mine as a power steering fluid cooler, but either way you might as well use it.
