the pill is a inch and a half long pill looking thing, it sits between the shift rails in the rear section of the rear main case. When a stock shifter is installed, you have to shift into 4wd before you have access to the low 2.28 gears. When you install twin sticks, you have to remove this pill, to remove it you have to open up the cases. Check out a twin stick install guide, i'm sure it in there.

when i put my cases together, i also installed a triple stick set up. Which is essentially a relocated twin stick. I forgot to remove the pill, and finally noticed right before I was going to install the cases in the truck; I tried to test shift everything, and the 4wd stick was stuck. After much deliberation and an hour so I decided I had to tear the cases back apart and inspect my work. Finding I didn't follow the directions totally correctly. After removing the pill and a little adjusting everything worked great and I love my Marlin dual cases and my Davez tripple stick set up.

I currently have my rear t-case shifter off and I cannot see any pill in between the shift rails on my rear case I also just read dual shifter install and did not see pill removal in the instructions, I feel like either I'm completely missing something here or Maybe previous t-case owner already removed the pill? I'm clueless   

If the pill was there is it visible from this angle or is it internal & not visible?

It's nonvisable, and closer to the rear of the case.

Ok figured it out, so you don't have to tear the cases apart

It's step 10 in the TG install, and step 6 in the marlin install. They call it the interlock pin. You remove a shift rail, and pill out the interlock pin with a magnet. You access it through the same hole the detent ball/spring was in.

Surprise:  2 for $9 racing seats & 4 point harnesses, Also put my Grant steering wheel on today & Mag lite mount behind the drivers seat for easy access.

How did you mount your 4 point harness? Would really like to see pics.

I used a 3/8" bolt through the floor board with a piece of 1/4" flatbar steel on bottom side & lock washer. I will post a pic. of it tomorrow if you need a visual.

Guess I don't need a visual. But is that the proper way to do it. I remember years ago someone telling me you have to mount them higher than your shoulder? Or you can really hurt yourself. Could be wrong.

Yea I do plan to mount them higher when I get my interior roll cage in but this is how I got them for now until that happens.  At any rate having harnesses is better then not wearing a seat belt at all I've made this mistake 1 time before check below pictures for damage.

Look at the dash board and notice how its bent up in the middle toward the windshield that's because my knees crushed it, only thing that saved me from completely flying through the windshield.

My head made that hole!  WEAR A SEAT BELT!

I'm having mixed feelings should I run solid motor & T-case mounts or not? I'm not worried about the vibrations I'm worried about breaking stuff more regulary then with stock poly mounts what are you using? any suggestions or ideas would really help Thanks.

I used one stock mount and one 4xinnovation mount; mounted to a TG crossmember. I did this because I've read about people breaking the mounts when they are two stock mounts. I've also read that with two solid aftermarket mounts the cases can be loud, and both my cases are regarded as the loud cases, pre 84. I have not done too much wheeling yet, but it's not terribly loud, and my engine mounts are stock. From what I've read, chain them. The solid mounts are supposed to be sorta loud/vibrate at high rpms/speeds

Currently I am set up to run solid motor mounts or stock I could go either way since I have both, and for my t-case I have the same set up as you 1 stock mount in the front & 1 solid tg mount in the rear. crawl box is 83' & rear case is 85' I was told when purchased.

I cant upload pics thats why i havent updated my biuld thread The guy before me did it welded the chane to the metal plate that sits over the motor mount and again to the frame

I had my motor chained before but it wasnt a very good setup, Now I got a better idea on how to do it right.

Good news to the future of this build I got a new truck driving job I leave Monday morning So I wont be online regularly anymore but hopefully I will start saving money again so I can buy a Motor and axles to finish this build. Cheers

Update:  Put motor together today & Bolted transmission to it planning on putting it in tomorrow will post pictures Finally progress.    Thanks again for the help Bog-Toy.

Whats left to do

1. Install motor
2. Weld up cross member mounts
3. wire up motor
4. Put oil in everything

Got the motor in today now to deal with the wiring mess & button everything up.

Out from under the tarp and in the sunlight, yes its chained to the fence so its harder to steal!
