Ya dude, looks great. Looks like you are about where I am, most if not all frame welding do, just need drive lines.

Its nice to finally see it sit under its own weight high?

Well with out motor and no weight in it im 28" to frame height so, but those springs are new & im gonna pull a leaf to try & get it lower.

Are you going to do anything special to the moter when you rebuild it. Ya my truck looked like a scrap heap for the longest time but finally with lots of money it came together... And then I broke it and it is back in my driveway.  But the waiting and the hard work are worth it I had so much fun when I went wheeling it was so worth it.

nisota

Well despite what other people's opinion I like the 22r/20r hybrid motor, So im going to stick with it one more time Nothing really special just a good timing chain, & get my head redone with Rebuilt/New bottom end Just so it runs as good as it use to.  :dunno: Not sure if i just got lucky or what but this motor has the most power ive ever seen out of any in my life.

I have always loved the 22r/20r hybrid moter are you Gona run any kind of high performance header intake carb or cam.

nisota

Yea I got a cam in it now plan to reuse it, I also run a heddman shorty header (don't like it) but it works, I want a long tube again, And also have a weber. The combo works pretty good lots of torque & good power. Our trucks sound pretty much the same I got 82' 2wd sas'd 22r/20r hybrid, L52 trans, dual cases, lockright front, spool rear, 4.88's & 35x13.50x15 toyo m/t. I was trying to get it finished so i could go to mcr this year but when I found out my motor was blown that was the end of that dream, Now I'm tryin to make sure I am there next year.

 nisota,
I seen your question on the Turtle Shout Box:
"whats the easiest way to get the drive flange nuts off my t-case i can tear down to build crawl box?"

Here's my way, hope it helps...

nisota

Thanks thats the idea I was looking for, really appreciate it x250f23x

Well this is how I did it, I bolted the t-case to the dual case cross member with a solid mount t-case mount (stock rubber mount wasn't working every time I put pressure on it, The whole case would move.) then I jammed the flat bar in the from drive line mount stood on the cross member & slammed the ratchet with my boot & the nut finally came loose, Thanks for all the help.

Did ya take the pill out of the rear case? I don't know if you can take it out and use a standard stick. It's between the two shift rails, and keeps you for. Shifting into 2wd low, other wise when ya get twin sticks, you will have to pull the cases and tear em down again, would be much easier now

Not sure what you mean about the pill in between the shift rails.

I didnt have them made, but yes I got them. I traded rear springs for & extended front (Not square) and found a shortened rear in good shape in a shed at a house we lived in earlier this year. Luckily she was in a good mood and it didnt seem to make her mad, I got a cool wife.
