dovetailing a LB...I think that is a first..looking forward to how that comes out
Looking sweet. I just feel bad, cause all these nice body builds always have that first carnage picture and it hurts.
I can't find where your location is ? I have a running rebuilt 22r, w 20k rebuild 250$In sonora ca
throw in some axle shims, or smaller shackles.
You could probably get away with pulling a leaf from all 4 spring packs. The truck will settle a lot once it's weighted and flexed out a few times. My 1980 came down at least 2" in the front after the 1st month of driving it.
They will settle for sure atleast about an inch. For the pinion angle the other way would be rotate the housing. Here is an article on it. http://www.4x4wire.com/toyota/tech/rotated_housing/
I've never had to cut and turn a mini truck housing with a setup like you have. You'll be fine once it gets all weighted down and broken in. If you pull leaves, start at the bottom, so the short ones.
yup start at the bottom and work up on the springs really. I have removed the bottom 2 springs out of my packs before. I have done it on 2 of my trucks just helps with the pinion angle. Bust as mentioned by OldGold3VZE let everything settle and remove some springs and see how it sits first then if its still bTad then you can rotate the knuckles.
So what else do you have to do? It's lookin' great!
