Hell no. It was more like taking the 79-81 round plugs to the 82-83 plugs and figuring out which wire goes to which one. Talk about a 2 or 3 hr PITA. I like it better myself since its a big tach and I didnt like my aftermarket one, so it was worth it to me.

dang, I know you wanted a tach, but I just cant stand that 2nd version 1st gen inst. cluster! yuck! hahahaha Otherwise, looks really good mang :gap:

Well... Its been a while. Since my last update ive added a new set of gagues since the 2 external ones broke so I bought a little set of 2 for 30 bucks and added volt oil and temp gauges in place of my stockers. Also have added a marlin crawler dual case crossmember. And then I jacked up my rear locker so I finally took it out and looked at it and found out that the teeth are all rounded off, Pretty weak. And started workin on the EFI harness again and started making the wires all nice and am about to mount the ECU in my truck so I can start plugging in the wires that need to go where they need to go.

I also took my truck through Jackhammer and Outerlimits at the hammers at the Tinbenders Jambo. Ill get pics of the body damage too. Since my last updated ive broken both motor mounts, tcase mount, shock mount and brake line.

Pics to come tomorrow

Took out the wood grain plastic crap, bent in the ashtray (notice how I dont have one) put it in there and made the aluminum diamond plate dash, drilled some holes for the switches and then out on the XM radio reciever. Quite easy actually. Its resting on the heater/blower and thats how it is staying all level and good...

uh oh baller, did you get it all put back together today?

lilbuddy

Oh and its very very weird driving without a locker. If I get on it on turns I can spin my 37s till they smoke now though, its pretty sweet.

Bill of Aussie Locker called me up today and is going to have an engineer call me tomorrow about what theyre going to do about my broken locker. Lets hope it turns out good.

Yeah its open.... I did it pretty fast IMO. After slicing my thumb, spilling gear oil all over and cleaing it up, talking to aussie locker on two seperate occasions, it only took 3 hrs.

Ok I see that now, The XM is where the end of the ashtray and lighter was. That's why I didn't put the one I had in, mine is beautifully still in one piece. There was very little mods required to fit the knob cassette player that's in the slot currently.

Anyways looks pretty nice, I've been wondering if I can get an A-piller gauge block and fit it in there. I never look at my oil gauge in the center consol, one of these days that's gonna bite me.
