My detriot scared the out of me when it popped.  It would pop prolly 2 or 3 times a week.  I finally decided it was too much and welded it and through the detriot in front.

save the money on just welding it but then make up for it in burning those tires out fast cause his stuffs a DD.

Whats yours doing? Mine randomly clicks and pops when Im shifting or something, its weird...

Yea sometimes i will be letting out the cluth from a start and it pops hella loud. Scared the shirt out of me a couple of times. But what i have now is when i make a tight turn  with the clutch out it ratchets really rough and the whole truck jerks. Sounds like CLUNK CLUNK CLUNK and i have to take it out of gear to make it stop. And when i drive no matter what there is this loud noise coming from the rear end that sounds like theres a really big loose washer or something....lound tinking noise coming from the third. It sounds like there is something inside the locker rolling around while i drive....annoying as hell. Its a continuous noise that starts once i get above 30MPH

my old e-z locker was worse than my detroit. my detroit give me a little click now and then, but never bangs.
i love my detroit. its so much smoother than my old e-z locker.

you might check your pinion bearings.

I've done that but it wears out tires and break U-joints.

hey chris you know that guy jack that rode with you at the high lakes?  Some one brought a cherry 81 longbed with some extras into the shop he works at and when they found out it has a bad head they said screw it and he is getting it free.  Were are going to to a budget build of it soon with a bunch of parts I already have and more

Ummm it was a first gen that had a blown motor and you guys wanted to take mine to put in that and then build it.

did you calculate the taller tires in that speed? or was it the stock speedo reading?

4.10, 33's, stock speedo reading 60mph at 2500 rpms.

No I was using my GPS and looking at how many RPM it was at

guess what lil dude...  you get the entire efi setup off the celica.  i had to switch to my throttle body.. sooo.. you get a perfect setup for your truck ( ALOTTTT less wires !)   TB  intakes   dist   computer  evarythang..   give me a call and you can come down and check  everything out.. and pull other stuff you need off the celica.   i'll PM ya some numbers to get ahold of me at .
