Yeah, I know it's a pretty unrealistic number.  Jut figured I'd see if anyone out there was interested.  Looks like I'll be keeping it.  I just have very little extra cash after mortgage, bills, etc, so no new projects any time soon.   At least camping and a bottle of whiskey is pretty cheap.

Cool, thanks for the heads up.  I've got to source a long range propane tanks if I'm gonna start wheeling this truck longer distances, otherwise I'm gonna look like a fork lift tank sales man carrying a truck bed full of fork lift tanks.  Also, I'm going to Moab 2nd week of Sept, so we'll see.  I'll be getting a ride there on a trailer.

I have followed you thread for a bit. I hope you keep this truck it is most outstanding.
A real man builds it... Then his wife points out all that he did wrong.

Thanks for all the inspiration to keep the truck.  I don't foresee getting rid of it anytime soon.  Looking into new job options to fuel this habit of fabin' and wheelin'!

New Job!  Finally, a chance to fuel this habit/addiction of building and wheeling.  In 2 weeks I start my new position as CNC machine operator with Specialty Products Company.  So happy for all that I've learned at PUSH, but really excited to get involved with a fast paced machine shop.  And, they make automotive parts including air bump stops!  Be sure to check out my truggy build.

How'd it go this weekend?  My buddy snapped the drive shaft on his jeep and my other bud broke a ball joint on his chevy.  Not much wheelin but lots of fun.

Ended up staying at Tour De Fat all day and didn't make it up.  Might be going next weekend with Tyler in the green xtra cab, though.  I'll let you know.  My truck is good to go.

Sweet got some new shoes for the old girl... 33 12.5 15 BFG mud terrains for 3 bills.  Think I'm gonna need some wheel spacers for the rear.  Might be up there cuttin beetle kill for a friend next weekend.  Turned out my bud did 1300 bucks damage to the front end of his Chevy.  Dumb azz.

That's one of my favorite tire sizes.   Especially for trucks like yours and mine.  You can run every trail on the front range with those.  You should try and find an IFS rear axle, wider and bigger brakes, and then widen your front with some IFS hubs and cruiser rotors and calipers.  I can help with that swap if you want to tackle it.

Well, I had so much fun wheeling this truck this summer that I have decided to give it some upgrades.

Hydro assist
5.29 gears
A rear Aussie locker
Cage
(Might) Bob the bed

I put my worn 38s on cause they can still get me by. Still have to trim fenders.

Have you considered hot knifing those worn meats?  Seems like old swampers that are "broken in" make good rock slicks after a good knifing. :twocents:

This truck is no longer my DD. I got a 4Runner. It is, however, a really nice start to a dedicated crawler.

Just found this build, and it's good to see some more Colorado guys on here!  Cool that you work at SPC too.  If you ever meet some dude that works there (in engineering) that drives a blue Ranger w/ a flat bed, tell him some guy told you to call him Indiana Earth Muffin, he should get a kick out of it.

Oh and kick ass first gen!

I've seen the Ranger, but never met its owner. He works at a different location, but I'm trying to get to know everyone there. I've only been there since Sept.  Thanks for the props on my build. If all goes well it should be pretty set for another season on the trails.
