What kind of tires are those? They seem perfect for my rig.

Thanks, the tires are really worn 38 x 12.50 15 swamped Tsl SX. They measure 36" or less depending on pressure.

I cut away the bed floor, re-configured my shock mounts for more up travel, replaced the 7.5" shackles with 5.5" shackles, and ran some tough trails in Colorado.

I'm 6'2", but yeah, the angle is a little funky. It's about as tall as my goofy ass.

Also, picked up this complete 22rte turbo truck with an R151f 5 speed for $200. Doing the tranny swap this week, turbo later.

Oh yeah, and the sliders got used so hard that I had to pound a flat spot in the top just to open the doors.

Thats awesome.  When I was stationed in Alaska I had to wait 3 months to repair my p/s rocker on my old 84 x-cab, smashed it so bad couldn't open the door.  That was in the days before I had heard of rock sliders.

Phaze?... Who's counting?  Beat the heck outta this truck over the last 3-4 months, so now I'm chopping off the back and 4 linking it on air shocks.  To hell with nice, straight body panels!

Thanks guys! Here's some back half progress. The frame will get cut @ the cab, just leaving it together to keep it a roller for now.

Gotta have that much. It's gonna support the entire back end of the truck, and it's for safety.

Did you make the four link brackets and "truss" or did you get them somewhere?

I made everything except the axle truss. That is from ruffstuff, but it's a weld it yourself item. Pretty nice for under $60.

Nice work.  What kind of welder/setup do you use?  Ruffstuff has some killer deals.

I'm good until 2019, then I need to pass a visual emissions test, which isn't happening. I'll cross that bridge when I get there.

We do in Oregon!!  http://www.oregon.gov/ODOT/DMV/pages/vehicle/plateregular.aspx#special  Just have to tell them its a race car.  Or even classics are approved, and just has to be a minimum of 25 years old and once you get the plate, you never have to renew them!!   Aunt did this with for my uncles 64 Mustang.  Also, MrStubs on here, or used to, has them on his crawler.
Miss ya Dean (4THEWKN) & Kyle (KYOTA)!!

4THEWKN~9/17/2006  If it wasn't for you, I'd be driving something other than a Toyota!
