WOW.. thats impressive...  are those things typically prone to breakage?  You have to replace the whole shaft with those right?  (sorry never had a yota)

Holy blowed up birf  :attention:
And yet it made such a tiny poping sound when it happened...

Is that a Long? Nice breakage!
Not even close to a Longfield, they don't break. That's an original 1983. Not bad for 24 years old...

Yes, the stock birfs are very prone to braking, I've been real lucky to have taken 3 years to break my first. I'm going to have to replace the birf and the long side inner, it stripped out.

Thanks buddy!

So the plan is to install a 1985 birfield and long inner to replace the 1983's that broke, they are two years newer so they should be much much much stronger!!!! No money for longs or anything else right now so don't even bother suggesting it. I'll be lucky to dig up the money for the inner snap ring and some drive shaft bolts. :crossed:

lilbuddy

Nice breakage..

Both times I broke a birf it made aloud poping sound and not only that it just broke the cage kinda gay. Id rather have a quiet pop and shattered birf just for the kicks of having one shattered.
RIP Kyota.... you are the man

GET IT!!!

95SAS

sweet man im suprised you got as much out of the stock birfs as you did.

Yeah, I expected something louder, kinda like when my rear 3rd blew up, that sounded like a damn grenade!

:haha: Yer funny.
They deleted my borrowed photochop program at work so I can't adjust any levels!

OYCJ,

I'm going to need your welder and your skills, some 1/4" flat plate, a drill, some 1.5" round HREW tubing, some hardware, some electrical connectors, a sawzall, a grinder, and a Saturday to build something for something.

Sound like a plan? :drunk:

I'll give you a hint tom, it has a 210:1 crawl ratio, but it's not too big on horse power. No, it's not an RC car.
