You could get a piece of flat plate, cut it to the width of your frame and weld it onto the frame and Xmember...   I did something like this for my father inlaws jeep, using half in plate. It cost me 15 bucks by the time I was done.

Went to Carnegie today with TallChevy350 and Snowshoebrew.
Stuck way to much, couldn't get traction on the rocks with the mud.
