I have been watching the timeline of all of this and it has kinda pissed me off on Nobama taking all the credit for this. If this would have been a bad issue like the economy he constantly puts it all on the previous administration. Now going by what they are saying in 2003 the CIA was actively searching for 2 unknown couriers for Osama, (Obama was not president) once they figured out who they were through interrogating detainees at Gitmo (Obama wanted to close Gitmo) they started watching their moves til 2005. In 2005 (Obama was still not president) two brother that had no money somehow built a one million dollar compound in Pakistan and suprise who moves in? The two couriers for Osama.

Now after extensive surveillance of the compound over several years (now Obama becomes president) it was determined in August of 2010 that Osama has to be in the compound. So Obama has known this fact for almost a year and decides it is time to raid the compound and as expected they find Osama and deliver him to Davy Jones Locker, but as you will see this is not the end of this story and I'm not talking about any retaliatory terrorist attacks.

Don't you think it is funny that intelligence had put him in the compond almost a year ago and nothing was done until after Obama announced his reelection campain? Ever wonder why the troops were not pulled out of Afghanistan? Once he got into the White House and realized why how could he? There is no possible way to have attacked that compound without being in Afghanistan, it is too deep in Pakistan and the only way to it is through Afghanistan. Another point is that he has promised a drawdown and complete withdrawl of Afghanistan this summer just in time for the elections, kinda funny eh.

So now that Osama is gone there is no reason to be in Afghanistan so he can now remove the troops, mark my words this is going to happen soon. What pisses me off is all the dummies that will fall for this election time orchestration to get him reelected. Someone has planned this very well. So Obama is laying claim to something that was started in the Bush presidency go figure. Now we can close Gitmo and leave the region but Obama cannot and should not take all of the credit for this since it spanned over two administrations and not just his, thank you Bush for getting the ball rolling on this, I'm just glad Nobama had the balls to pull the trigger.

I feel the same way Rocksurfer.  Obama is trying to take credit, and he is using this as a re-election strategy.  I figured he would, anything to make himself look good.  The economy sucks and people are losing what they worked all their lives for, and he is too busy on vacations and filling his pocket up.  My opinion of course.

they just built a new passenger terminal here, opening in late august...... there is no way we are going to be out of here by summer...... we probably wont be out of here for 20 years..... the threat of the taliban is still very real...

sure, killing osama, a big figurehead and idol to them, is a big deal, surely attacks here will start increasing in retaliation, but just because a boss was killed, doesn't mean the taliban is just going to toss in the towel and give up..

we just had 8 air force (mostly officers) killed by an Afghan Air Force pilot, they were training, last week, out in kabul

If you look at what the government has done in the past that airport terminal will just be turned over to Afghanistan. Face it Jim the only reason Obama didn't drawdown as promised when he was elected is once he became president he learned why he couldn't do as promised. Bush knew exactly where Osama was and it just needed confirmation.

Also just so you know Jim the White House press secretary Jay Carney announced just a few hours ago that the Afghanistan withdrawl is "on track for July" I hate when I'm right. I knew they were going to do this.

One of the great things about America is that we are all free to state our opinions, even if they are completely wrong-headed.

Keep in mind that to binLaden and many other like-minded wackos, 9-11 was merely a small down payment -- a drop in the bucket compared to what they want to accomplish. Their stated goals include the killing of ALL Americans -- men, women, children, & babies, inside our borders or anywhere else in the world. There could be no compromise because in their eyes we are all evil and must be destroyed.
