Bobbing it doesn't effect your wheelbase unless you cut the frame down in the back.....This being said i like a wheelbase as close to 110 as i can get, my last truck was 107 and i'm at least aiming for this on my new truck. Makes steep climbs and water falls much easier
I like 103 to 107 inch wheelbase myself but you know what they say about opinions...
unless you move your springs forward and then your still gonna have to bob the front of the bed to line the wheel well up. Stock 3rd gen extra cab is 125" stock.
i plan on trimming what ever where ever I'm just no sure how long i want the wheel base why 110? or 115? whats your reasoning behind the wheel base lengths. I have a joint in the middle for the rear drive line when i shorten the wheel base should i take it out? i i am going to be putting dual cases in it also so I don't think ill need it, but maybe it is a good thing i don't know thanks guys
I like the 103" to 107" neighborhood since the wheeling we do around here has tons of sharp turns. Long wheelbases seem to stuggle more in the tight stuff. Another reason is the height required to get a longer vehicle over some of the ledges we have here. If the rig is very long it has to be rather tall to give it the required break over clearance to keep it from getting high centered. I don't want to be extremely tall as I like the low CG...
3rd gen ext cab is 121.5 stock
leave it long my wheel base is 151 inches
holy

how is urs 151? is it a tubed buggy or something? and how does that work for you?
