« on: Dec 13, 2010, 12:05:37 AM »
So I buy a truck with a 34 gallon tank. Now I cant fill the f*cker up without putting my card in 2X. It shuts off at 74 bucks. How do I get around this? I know some one out there knows. Couldnt even find it on google. Thanks in advance!

gas company card or credit card?

For a gas company card, you may be able to call them up and talk to them.

I think its a set thing now. I'm in oregon and my bud works at a gas staion people all the time with big trucks have to give him their card twice he said its a pia on busy days. I'd call the gas station because I think its a set limit there. So you cant over fill your car or something(old retarted people).

They restrict pay at the pump, you need to take it inside and have the attendant set it.

I never go to prepay filling stations.
YOU ONLY NEED TWO TOOLS IN LIFE - WD-40 AND DUCT TAPE. IF IT DOESN'T MOVE
AND SHOULD, USE THE WD-40. IF IT SHOULDN'T MOVE AND DOES, USE THE DUCT TAPE.

IF YOU CAN'T FIX IT WITH A HAMMER, YOU HAVE AN ELECTRICAL PROBLEM.

True. The prepay limit amount is set by an agreement between the credit card issuer and the retail outlet company.

I agree.  Anybody even notice that When the barrel price was $150 we were paying $4+ per gallon, and now the barrel price is under $90 and we are still paying $3+?  If you figure it out, we should be paying $2 a gallon.

Our tank in our minivan is 25 gallons, and it used to shut the pump off at 1/8th left to fill.

Wouldn't even slow them down, they'd just have someone standing by the pump continuously swiping the card.
