If you rotate it so you can run a flat pitman instead of just moving it forward, you can move the box farther forward without having to cut the body mount.

HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So we cant get my rig up at all. We have tried a set of allpros. Then tonight we tried a set of 48" rears and still no luck. I dont know what to do. I really want to get this thing out but my springs are as flat as can be. I dont know what to do. I want to see if anyone has an idea on maybe a hybrid pack to build. Luke was thinking adding 2 more lower springs from another rear spring pack I have. If anyone has any ideas what to build let me know. Looking around waggies are expensive so if you have another idea let me know.

Here are a few pics of the RUF as it sits tonight. Any help would be great

My ruf's a factory 81 pack with the longer overload taken out and I added one 6" lift Cherokee spring. Also notched the frame for more up travel..

Peterbuilt84

Just mix the all pro and ruf packs and see what it looks like.

I really dont want to sacrfice performance. so maybe i will try some and see what happens

Well last night I took 45 min and pulled one spring pack appart and pulled the other one off the truck. Now what should I cut the springs with so they are stagered?

Did you put the packs together and bolt them up to see how it looks on the truck? I know it's a bit more work, but before you start cutting springs I would see if it's helped the issue you had :twocents:

84toytank

dont use a torch use an angle grinder and cut off wheel then use a flap wheel to clean them up

what I did

83yota

That what I was thinking. I was not going to put them on first because if it does not fix it I am not going to put the other set back together. I was planing on just cutting it off before I clean them up and then putting them together and try it out.

Well.... This whole deep seated desire to get back in shape is really messing with my rig time. Well last night after I got home I cut the 6 springs I am going to put in the packs. I used a 4" cutoff wheel and it did great. Then I took a 4" flapper wheel (40 grit) and cleaned the springs up. Got one painted. will get the rest painted tonight and put back together in the morning. Then Sunday morning I will put them on with pics.

Nice, i'm interested to see how it comes out. How far apart did you stagger the springs from each other?

IronClad

torch is fine since you are just cutting the ends off. been doing it for the past 10 ish years and havent had a problem
