Coming along nicely. Just curious, why didn't you cut off the other brackets on the axle?

Nimyad

Hey I just got done doing this... Took me 3 days to take out my old axle tear it down completely and install everything onto a different housing, with rebuilding everything, and put it back under my truck. Oh and yes you're Ifs calipers should work but not with the factory straight axle rotors

91 ex-cab

Your ifs calipers will bolt right up. I think your rotors will work also, but not positive.

if you read what they say  it says can be used with rotors listed below   .  those are  fj60 rotors .

Sparkplug

you can make a backing palte elim out fo your stock plate easy peezy

Id do ifs hubs on the axle while your at it, its cheaper and a much better looking and safer alternative to wheel spacers, which everyone ends up getting on mini axles. There is a few ways to do it, without skys crazy overpriced spacers

I wouldt do a truss on the axle, maybe just knuckle gussets, but even then, be careful welding it.

Lookin good, cant wait to see it under the truck

remember if its a stock axle it will have a crush sleave on the pinon and if you back off the pinon nut   count how many turns so you can get it back . Not really the best thing to do though imo.  The top truss ?  i am not sold on them   but knuckle ball  trusses are a must  and as much as i hate to say it i think T-G has the best design for those  .
