Sweet! If you have the alternator and starter harness can you take a pic of it for me when you get a chance? :)

The alt and starter are still on engine, so it should, it's sitting in a buddys shed right now so I'll take a picture next time I over

Quick Draw

Nice. You will really like the motor swap.

For some reason Oregon seems to have tons of badass 1st gens.  Out in Colorado, they are definitely a little bit rare.

how you like your 3.4 in your first gen?

Quick Draw

I would say it's 100x better than the 20R, performance wise.  Highway speeds and merging on the freeway are no problem.  On the trail, I can pretty much idle around. ...any altitude, any angle, it still runs great.  Around town, it's pretty easy to get the back end to break loose.  So power wise, it's almost overkill for the 1st gen because it's so light.  That's why I think you'll like the 3RZ just fine.  I think the power difference between the two is actually pretty small, like 20 hp.  Besides, the 3RZ seems to fit in the engine bay a lot better. My engine bay is crammed, and it's tough to keep the engine cool with that space.  But really anything with EFI is an enormous improvement.  Before I swapped mine, there were times that I wanted to throw my Weber out in the woods.  The added bonus of actually being able to pass a few people on the highway is just icing on the cake.
