It says the specs in his sig.  It's a D60 w/ a detroit and 4.56 gears
in the projects nooga, anything goes

well....I'll post up a few specs and pics on my front end...It's a Dana 60 from a 1984 1 ton Dodge.I had it narrowed 5 1/2"
to 61 1/2" wms and converted to 6 lug.It has 4.56 gears with a Detroit locker.since the axle was narrowed custom 4340
chrome moly inners were added and I bought some new Spicer 35 spline outers and u-joints.I also didnt want to mess with breaking hubs so I had Warn drive flanges installed.I had new Chevy calipers/rotors installed and new bearings and the kingpins rebuilt.
a lot of bling.. :bling: but a sweet almost bullet proof set up for my Toy...I also had a high steer behind the axle sytem installed
up to my existing 1 1/4 " hydro assisted ram.I had to have a custom oil pan from a 2wd Toy modified to make clearance for the
rear tie rod at full compression..... :thumbs:

well.....the Toy is slowly looking alittle like it used to....fitted 1 fender on today.....nothin like a new painted fender... :biggthumpup:  :yupyup:

after finishing a little wiring and hooking up my 2 optimas to the new Wrangler relay..I put the key in and started cranking
it over....a few pumps of the pedal and she started right up  :D  :bowdown:  :yupyup:  :yesnod:  :thumbs: I really like
the 38 weber carb ...I have a electric choke and the fuel pressure gauge set at 1 psi..she always starts up and works great
on the rocks..

Looks pretty damn good!!!. :thumbs: ,how do you like those 42s?...I'm thinking of going up to 42s,currently on a brand new set 39 boggers...When u gonna b done with that beast?.

I like the 42"s...the sidewall is a little stiff for my "light weight" Toy and require running low air pressure
for good traction on the rocks.I was running around 6-8 psi on the Rubicon/Fordyce rock trails but the tires
seemed not to flex very well...I started to run 3-5 psi with some better traction..I have heard the TSL's need
a little break in time for the sidewall to loosen up...maybe sipping or grooving might be next..I only have 3-4 runs on the 42"s so time will tell...boggers are a good tire as well I think with the same handling characteristics...truck should be done in the next 3-4 weeks....
I have some serious bling bling parts yet to install that Santa brought me for Christmas...stay tuned for some awesome upgrades to my "beast"

Sa-weet!!!,keep us posted...Well it sounds like those tires do pretty well under really LOW preasure.I was thinking of going that route for the ground clearence.I really like my boggers,I've ran 35 Gumbos,35 TSLs,two sets of 35 Boggers,a set of 38 TSL/SXs,and this is my 2nd set of 39 Boggers,the first set got stolen from my buddies shop...Get that beast finished up,and bring it to SoCal,and do TDS with us,and then the Toyota Jambo in Johnson Valley. :yupyup:  :turtle: .

you gotta love the TRD seats....they are very lightweight and comfortable....i believe they cost around $300 or so..
I found them on a site on E-bay....the seats hold you in very well while wheelin and have held up to off road use/abuse
very well.... :yesnod:  :thumbs: I had previously installed a pair of seats from a Mazda 626 that were very nice and can be found at most wrecking yards for a reasonable price and are a pretty straight forward bolt in with some minor drilling...

Thanks for the info...I am searching ebay now.....How is the lumbar...With my stock seats my lower back really starts to hurt. I am not over weight and in pretty good shape..

they were $300 for the set + about $60 in shipping if I remember correctly...

sharp eye peckerwood...  :yesnod: ::it all depends on what type of truck your Dana 60 came out of.
most early 70's-80's Dodge trucks have 2 bolts that are cast into the housing and the top plate fits right over.
none of the dana 60 from chevy's have that.it's a little easier to set up your rig with a chevy because of that unique feature.
you cannot get as much pinion angle with a Dodge 60...there are advantages of both types...I bought a dodge
60 because it had the gears I wanted(4:56) and the price was right. most dodges dont require as much narrowing
to fit under a Toy. :dunno: I'll post up a pic for everyone to see....

my 60 had to have a little grinding and angling of the plate to make it work...you can see the 2 bolts are almost straight
up and down and the u-bolt is angled back due to the pinion angle.
