I would think it can be done.
Have been tring to research ideas for transfer case doublers.
Vehicle in question is a 1995.5 fzj80 motor: 1fz-fe, tranny: a343f, Tcase: h2va
Ideally would like to bolt up reduction box to split case from fj60 to keep offset diff output.
Some google searching has led to a swap where a man in spain took the r150f out of a 4runner and replaced it with an a343f. The kicker is that he was able to use the same tcase from the r150f behind the a343. Looks like a simple switch. link to thread
http://www.yotatech.com/f88/manual-auto-swap-150243/ Question are there any differences in the a343 transmission tail housings/ output shafts toyota offers that would cause the a343f transmission found in MY 1995.5 fzj80 to not bolt up to the adapter plate that marlin sells that bolts to the r150f?
Logic behind the question: If a man bolted up a tcase from a r150f with no adapter to an a343, then the rear end of the r150f and the a343f are the same.
If the rear end of the r150f and the a343f are the same then I can bolt the adapter and the marlin reduction box that is marketed for the r150f to the a343f in MY fzj80. THen from that reduction box a split case from an fj60.
can anyone confirm if it is possible to take the tail housing from an a340f and bolt it up to my a343f and usethe adapter for the a340f
BAsically do you have any ideas on how to get double low range in my vehicle.
Thanks Peyton
