The legroom is fine for my kiddo. He's 8 but a tall 8 year old. I'll put up a couple pics of him back there to show th eleg room.

I tried a couple different seats. This one, a Jeep TJ seat, a YJ seat, even a seat out of an early bronco. Fact is, that you can't drop the floor a whole lot unless you ditch the stock gas tank. Which sucked. Over all the back of the seat is dropped about 3" into the floor and almost sits between the frame rails and the front of the seat is about level with the rest of the bed floor. I went with this seat because it's more comfortable. The Jeep seats are damn near vertical for the rear passengers and WAAAAAAAAAAY uncomfortable.

Truck is looking great, if you need to drop the rear seat down even more you could go with a ford tank. That's what i had to do on mine to get the seats even close to being low enough

I'm looking at doing a rear bench suspension seat. there are a few out there that aren't to expensive.
however you did  an AWESOME job on this!  :beerchug: congrats buddy!!

Truck is looking great, if you need to drop the rear seat down even more you could go with a ford tank. That's what i had to do on mine to get the seats even close to being low enough

How bad was the ford tank to adapt to the yota? I'd have to move my air tank around but I was looking at the ford tanks as an option.

When i get some $$$$ built back up, i'm going to put some Corbeu's in front and rear. But the recent mods, and the cage and working out a deal to buy another rig in the process drained my savings pretty good. hahaha

I'm hoping that the mods on this thing will hold me over for the seasons atleast. I've got the itch for a buggy really bad.................REALLY bad.

I don't see why it wouldn't be. Has seatbelts in the rear and it's caged.

It wasn't bad at all. From what i've read it's pretty easy for the EFI guys, basically extending the fuel lines and some wires to the sender. Mine is carb'd so i extended the lines, and then I removed the fuel pump from the sender and extended the draw tube down to the bottom of the tank

I have a buddy who is a local Sheriff and he said it's no different than a runner. Except that I have a full cage and not just the rear roll bar.

I was out driving it around last weekend and got past a few times by the Nevada Highway Patrol and never had an issue either. I believe the law in NV states something about a permanently mounted seat and seatbelts is all that is required. I've seen full size trucks with a bench seat mounted against the back window facing backwards cruising down the highway around here before. hahaha Gotta love NV.

Side story, I got pulled over by NHP years ago for not having a windshield and argued and won my ticket because the NV law says "Clear field of vision" but nowhere does it specifically say you have to have a windshield. HA!

Correct, brackets off the bottom of the seat and I welded some new flat brackets on.

He's 55" tall. I was measuring a buddies suspension bench seat in the back of his Rhino tonight and he will be about 3" lower once I get a Corbeu back there.

Pretty decent I think for a pickup bed. As far as the suspension seat goes, the front of the seat will be about the same height, but the back sits lower and the seat itself is thinner in the sitting area, so that's where the lower height comes from. So i'm hoping that legroom or leg postion doesn't change too much, just reclined a little bit more.

As for the top, i've got a bikini top in the works currently for summer. But a full top probably will be later in the summer after we get thru anniversary, kids birthday, cub scout camp 1 and 2.......uuggg it's going to be a hectic couple of weeks.

Well since winter seems to be right around the corner.........(Where the hell did summer go??) I started messing with a shell for the back. Scored this snugtop off of craigslist for FREE!!!!!! sweet.

The bed and cab are now permanently welded together. And the shell is held in place with standard campershell clamps. This particular shell had a rubber boot that was on the shell itself and pushed against the back of the cab and so far it has proved to be pretty water tight. Time, and sitting out in the rain/snow this winter will tell for sure. haha. I'll try and get some more pics of it this weekend.

The length looks right but all the 63long I've seen and mine are much thicker and are 3 springs plus the overload. His have about 5 much thinner springs. I like them was wondering what they came off of

They are Chevy 63"s. I robbed the leaves from a 91 2wd chevy 1/2 ton truck. I'm currently working on the same swap for my 86 4runner using springs from a 94 truck.

could you take a picture from the top of the back of the cab looking down to the floor just in front of the back seat?  I want to see what the leg room looks like for the back.
