ill be offroad only just three or four miles in an entire day i dont think that would fry the bearings
read a lot bad about it
When people make a statement like this and admit knowing why people say not to do something, it typically means they're looking for the 1 person who'll say they'll be fine to affirm their desire.Go for it
Just about sums it up. I say go for it and write a report on it so that we all can see the benefits of doing this swap, or not
You could always pack the bearing like a wheel bearing if it was only a lubrication problem.... It is not.
not to get off topic..but how bout a KOH in reverse..just to really see where all that money is spent
I was wondering what xtreme 4x4 was doing when they built the rear steer for their Toyota buggy using a hp third. I assume that flipping the housing doesn't solve any of the problems since it's still running on the coast side?
why did they blow up driving on road or trail
i hear the dont sling oil and burn up your bearings and there week because they run on the coast side in the rear
The problem with your theory is the bearing is bathed in oil, not sealed.
If it is getting bathed in oil then lubrications isn't going to be an issue. If it is not the packing the upper pinion bearing would work.
