My 22RE is EFI.

look at the whole going through the firewall on the passenger side where the harness goes through.  if it looks factory with a factory looking gramet in it, it probably came stock efi.  if it looks like its been chopped out with a homemade looking gramet(like mine), then its probably been swapped over.  the whole is just below the hood hinge and the left bottom of the passenger side wiper motor.

i'd need the following for my '88 build
-two center consol switches and wiring (not the window lock)
-bulb for the rear (inside the "bed")
-whole cab light assembly if it works (right above the drivers head)
-hinge for the center consol
-plates that say 4runner right behind the doors
-starter relay
-ignition switch
-I may also need the sensor for the gas gage (or whatever will fix the following prob) b/c after mine drops below
 3/4 tank, it goes straight to E
-passenger tail light (mine is faded)
-and maybe the dash b/c mine is cracked

Much better. I don't get as bad a shake just driving but at higher speeds it shakes. I still need a new drive shaft. Mine is bent and I don't think it likes spinning so fast.

Casey, are actually going to turn this in to a crawler or a DD? if your going to actually "use" it i wouldnt worry about small things like tail lights. do you have a front axle yet, or gearing, lockers etc......

no, i havnt gotten any of that yet and it will be a DD for a while... Im planning on keeping it as nice as possible for as long as possible.. kinda like that red '85 project 4 skinner...http://board.marlincrawler.com/index.php?topic=53806.0

freeway ridge is up 178, almost to lake isabella.  there is also rock front ranch, mananche meadows, and hungry valley. and if you want to get into the desert, there is a bunch more like last chance canyon, snake bait, and a few others.  none of them are hard trails.  any stock 4x4 can make it up the trails.  fullsize trucks can't make it on some, but any smaller truck/suv is good to go.  the trails are just enough to make it fun.  with exception to snke bait, about 75% is pretty much a fire road, but the other 25% has some fun rock sections.  for being so close to bakersfield, i can't complain.

hey jrock, there was one 4runner and one other 2nd gen truck i saw at the pick a part today... the runner has a good pass. front fender and front corner light.  The truck had good doors and fenders i think... best news is that they are both on the far right of the import side. (4runner 3rd row back, truck about half way back) i think that there was one more truck but i cant remember where exactly it was...i think on the left side of the imports towards the center of the entire yard. Both trucks (if i remember right) had tail light buckets and lights but no covers.

i ended up getting a set of gray sr5 seats, rear light covers, a few switches, rear toyota badge, and one rear interior pannel.

i might be going again tomorrow to help a friend out with a power steering box for is '70 dodge and maybe get the ignition coil or something from the 4runner...lmk if you want me to take pics of anything and text them to you..(6 6 1 - 3 3 1  6 9 0 6)
