Now is it supposed to be more angled or perpendicular to the ground?

If I were to use ford rear leaf springs, what size and what year range should I go for? I'm curious cause I'm not sure if I should go chevy...

I have a 90' runner and I am doing my sas as we speak. I went with the coils in the rear to save money. I used FJ80 coils that gave me a little over 4 inches. I used stock rear leaf springs in the front because it moved my axle forward about an inch more than a lifted front spring and I got them cheap. The RUF gives me 4 inch in the front and with it moving the axle forward an inch I will be able to run 35" with no rubbing. I know the the 63" chevy's will give you 5" of lift in the rear.

63" chevy's will get you 5" of lift? That seems real high for a stock item...

That's what I thought to but I did alot of research and chevy's would have given me 5 inches and FJ80 coils would give me 4 1/2 inches. I am only doing 4 in front and didn't want a full inch higher in the back so I went with the coils.

Well I'm thinkng I'm gonna run with 63" with an add a leaf from a stock pack since i have a runner and I don't like the look of droop... I need about 5-5.5 in lift in rear since the leaf pack I'm getting from THK90 is 4-5 in of lift with the axle.

Ok, Im helping my girlfriends dad do a chevy V8 conversion and we are stuck on the tranny... Do we move it back 4-6 inches? And if so do we need to make a new crossmember? And if we don't need to move it back how do we fit the motor in? The mounts don't go forward enough just to drop it in... Help and advice would be much appreciated. Thanks... If you need pics I can post some tonight if you would like... Oh and the specs on the motor is an 70's 400 bored over 0.030 and has edelbrock performer RPM heads and has been converted to fuel injection.

Ok well we figured out that NWOR makes crossmeber plates that use plates thy slide the t-case back while still maintaning the old crossmember so after we realized thy we already bought the shims and plates so when we get them we are gonna use them as templates to build our own then send back for a refund. hopefully it will all come together. Will get some pics up asap.
