What day is everyone/anyone getting to the campsite? Is Scotty going to be early to secure the site this year with his trailer?

I'll be rolling into the BV campsite late Thursday night @ 10:30-11pm.  I'm waiting for a friend of mine to get off of work at 8pm.

Scotty is planning on running Indy with the California guys the weekend before (July 24th & 25th).  They then will head towards BV and snag the campsite Sunday or Monday.  He plans on showing them around the BV area throughout the week.

Hmmm... Now how to talk Dan into an entire week of wheeling... Peer pressure!

Also, Volcom have you already posted the jambo on Cottora? I see some trips over there but didn't want to double post.

No, I haven't posted the trip info on COTTORA.  I don't plan on it either.  See ScottyC's buildup thread for the reason why.

Ugh... Really liked the group we went out with this weekend, hopefully enough of them read both boards. Seems like a much more local/active board for setting up trips. Honestly, how can it be *this* hard to not find people to wheel every weekend and even some weekdays?

Needless to say, I am REALLY excited about the jambo. Can it be the end of the month already? Please?

Suz, some of COTTORA has really cool guys.  But there a few bad apples that really ruin it.  I stopped associating with them almost completely.  But occasionally, I see a run I can go on that has good people going too.  The Eagle Rock run was one of those...  Those are good people to wheel with.  But in general, I'm not a big fan of COTTORA, and some of its most active members.  Coincidentally, the people who were on the Eagle Rock run are moving away from COTTORA some as well....much like many good people, that certain other people, have chased away.

Off hand, people like:
Volcom
OFRD_GRL
BlownTaco
Scotty
Ric
....on and on and on...   All really cool people that I've wheeled with, that have left COTTORA because of the same few people.

Damn it... going to have to pull my transmission.  I believe my throwout bearing is bad....like worst noise I've ever heard in my life bad.  But other than that, my truck took last weekend's 3 trails and 500 miles of highway like a champ.  So HOPEFULLY that will only be a minor setback, and an easy repair before this.

That's the stupid thing is that the clutch, as well as the bearings have < 5k miles on it.  But I bought it from Russell, who ordered it from Scotty, who got it from possibly TG, but who knows...  So I don't think I can get it warrantied or anything.  So no, I will not be doing a new clutch, because the thing is brand new.

Kyle, I have that auto tranny I'm not going to use...  :cheese:

Yes! Get it together and don't touch it! I haven't done much to my pile except charge the batteries, add front diff armor and sit beers on it. The flatbed is a really great cupholder...

I've got metal for a square front d-shaft this weekend... and a new regulator in hopes of fixing my charging issue. If this doesn't work I don't know what to do... besides bringing a few extra batteries and jumper cables to the jambo.  :stopit:

So unless anybody has a spare 37" MTR or two that I can borrow, I'm not sure that I can go.  Screwing up 2 sidewalls on my own property was an expense on my already extremely tight budget that I had not counted on...

Ouch.  That sucks Kyle.  What about these tires & wheels just to get you by?

I know they aren't ideal but they would get you some trail time at the Jambo.

I have 4 in the shop right now!

...but they're under another dude's 4Runner. He might be a little pissed if his junk goes missing while I'm doing the clutch... I dunno.
I was tempted by those $100 tires/wheels but I didn't want to be stuck with 16.5 wheels when they wear out.

Yep; I got the flywheel resurfaced yesterday and the engine cleaned; waiting on the actual  :turtle: clutch kit now. I've been re-doing the wiring for the lights (was hacked a bit) and random other stuff to help the rig along; such as exhaust gasket and getting rid of some EGR stuff that wasn't hooked up/functioning before.

He's alive!  I've been asking Jared if you were still around & coming to the Jambo.  Seems like you're moving every year, right before the Jambo :D  Sucks about the money deal, we'll be doing this for years so don't worry about it.

The Coyote Cantina Crew is going to be strong again this year!!  We've got a couple more members to induct this year, hahahahahahaahahaha.

Hope you can squeeze in a weekend of wheeling & camping!
