What caused this?

Wires, rotor, cap & spark plugs were installed new April of 09.

I noticed the engine was running rough the other day. I started the engine today & noticed that #2 exhaust was cooler than the rest. I pulled #2 spark plug & found that it was fouled. I pulled the other 3 & they were fine. I replaced all 4 plugs & #2 is still misfiring.
My question is what will cause just 1 (one, won, juan) plug to do this?

Do a compression test.

:yikes:  detonation?  Did you check the plug wire for continuity?

I'm thinking pre detonation. Because the heat needed to do that to a plug. I'd start with a plug wire continuity test then go to compression and then finally check your intake manifold and injectors.

yep,  detonation/pre-ignition

check the above recommended things but also check the distributor cap, if it was a cheap checkers/autozone/other generic parts store the cap might have been made in Hoopdydodah China and may not be symmetrical

That cylinder is running very lean.

Air leak intake leak and/or bad/clogged injector (functions a little)
